Awesome Porsche

The new Panamera gets a serious makeover from its previous gen’s ugly duckling looks. Not only does the car look like a proper Porsche, but it can go around the Nürburgring in 7:38 in its V8 twin-turbo variant, cranking out 550hp. Its clean, high-tech interior is stunning too.

The LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS looks awesome, but complicated. Tune in for the next 25 minutes to watch the assembly in this extensive and not so fast time-lapse from Brick Builder. That instruction book looks thicker than the actual car’s owner’s manual.

Petrolicious recently shot a great documentary about a race-winning Porsche 718 RS 60, and its driver Derek Bell. Now, they’ve posted what is possibly the best bit – a five minute reel of Bell driving the classic Porsche at speed that makes us feel like we’re riding in the car with him.

The ultimate purist’s 911 features the 4.0L flat-six engine from the 911 GT3 RS, offering up an impressive 500 horses, an 8,250 RPM redline, a manual gearbox, an automated wing, and a top speed of 200 mph. Goes from 0-to-60 in just 3.7s, and sounds spectacular getting there.

Updated from head to toe, nearly every component on the new Boxster and Boxster S has been revamped, including a new flat-four turbo engine that cranks out 300hp on the base, and 350hp on the S. Choose from a 6-speed manual or 7-speed PDK automatic gearbox.

You’d think the Nürburgring wasn’t exactly a good place to drive in the snow, but the green hell looks like it’s just as much fun when it’s covered with white stuff, as demonstrated in this video of a classic 911 being drifted around the track by driver Patrick Simon.

One of only 310 Carrera 2’s, this particular car went through an extensive 4-year restoration process, and has won awards at Concours events. It’s expected to go for at least $650K when it goes under the hammer on 1/28/16 at Bonhams‘ Scottsdale auction.

Porsche Design integrated the rear silencer and twin tailpipes from a 911 GT3 into a 200W 2.1 Dolby surround sound system such that they now amplify sound instead of dampening it. The speaker has a subwoofer output and Bluetooth, RCA, coaxial and optical inputs.

While they didn’t NEED more power, Porsche gave them some anyhow. An extra 20hp pushes the 911 Turbo to 540hp and the Turbo S to 580hp, launching the Turbo to 60 in 2.9s and the Turbo S in 2.8s. The coupe and cabrio get refined body styling and new 20″ wheels.

The Supercar Driver has pulled off the impossible: gathering the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder in one place. They were able to pull it off thanks to Paul Bailey, the high roller who owns one of each hybrid supercar. Place your bets!

Porsche stomps on Tesla’s hallowed ground, revealing its own all-electric sedan, capable of launching its occupants from 0-to-62mph in 3.5 seconds thanks to a 600hp all-wheel drivetrain. Driving range: ~310 mi, and an 80% charge in 15 minutes… Assuming it ever gets produced.

The new Carrera has some visual refinements, like new headlamps and rear deck vents, but the big story is the 420 hp, twin-turbo flat-six in the Carrera S, and the 370 hp version in the base. Add PDK and Sport Chrono to do 0-to-60 in just 3.7s in the S, and 4.0s in the base.

This 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera is the last car that Steve purchased, with a custom body color, aftermarket wheels and mods added by Steve himself. Part of the auction’s proceeds will go to Steve’s alma mater Boys Republic.

Two of the world’s best hybrid supercars go for the fastest lap at Laguna Seca raceway, with GT champion Randy Pobst at the helm of both cars. The Porsche’s lap starts at 8:35 while the McLaren’s is at 16:40. Come on Ferrari! Forza!

The 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder is the most powerful of its kind, thanks to the same 3.8L flat six that powers the 911 Carrera S and Cayman GT4, albeit tuned to produce “only” 375hp. Best of all, it now has an actual roof (unlike this model.)

Porsche finally gives the people what they want: a 911 engine in the Cayman’s body. The Cayman GT4 has the 911 Carrera S’ 385 hp 3.8L flat six engine, the 911 GT3’s chassis and a six-speed manual transmission.

This street-legal track beast has a 500hp 4L flat-six engine that pushes it from 0 to 62mph in 3.3s. Its badass front air outlets, contoured magnesium roof and carbon fiber wing and rear lid provide extra downforce. Skip to 2:53.
