Awesome Pop-tarts

Pop-Tarts are one of our guilty pleasures – especially the frosted cherry and chocolate fudge ones. While Fred’s Slop Tart sponges might whet your appetite for the real deal, they’re meant for wetting dirty dishes and sinks. The pack includes four compressed sponges that look just like Kellogg’s iconic toaster pastries. Just don’t try to take a bite out of them.

Do you love Pop Tarts, but hate all the artificial junk they’re filled with? This countertop kitchen appliance lets you make your own rectangular hand pies with fresh, homemade ingredients. Use it to make sweet or savory pies three at a time. The set includes a matching crust cutter to make pies in the perfect shape and size.

Toy company Funko teamed up with cereal company Kellogg’s to make a different kind of Pop. The official Pop-Tarts Game is a family-friendly card game in which 2-to-6 players collect breakfast pastries to get the highest score. Or maybe the highest calorie count. Best played with a snack of actual Pop-Tarts.

Bon Appétit pastry chef Claire Saffitz takes a stab at replicating one of our favorite guilty pleasures, Pop-Tarts. We’ve had some gourmet hand pies before, but never one that looked as accurate, tasty, or toaster-friendly as Claire’s.

Breakfast meets sugary soda pop with Kellogg’s latest toaster pastries. These frosted A&W root beer and Orange Crush flavored Pop-Tarts are expected in grocery stores later this month. As yummy as these sound, we’re still waiting for Han Solo in carbonite flavored ones.

Carls’ Jr. is testing a fun new dessert that’s easy enough to make at home. Its simply hand-scooped vanilla ice cream layered between two halves of a strawberry Pop-Tart. We’re gonna try making one with Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts.

Kellogg’s popped-up a new store in Times Square, loaded with every flavor of toaster pastry you can imagine, custom-built tarts and even Pop-Tart sushi. Probably not part of a nutritious breakfast.
