Awesome Pixies

Musician Jamie Dupuis turns in a smooth and enveloping cover version of the Pixies track Where Is My Mind, performed on his harp guitar, an instrument that combines an acoustic guitar with bass strings on its top neck. We saw Weezer and Pixies in concert this summer, and they were both amazing. Seattle band Tiger Rider thought so too, and decided to pay tribute to this epic double bill with their own seamless mashup of Where Is My Mind and Say It Ain’t So.

During the UK launch event for the Mazda MX-5 RF, THePETEBOX teamed up with The Pisces Rising’s talented string players and vocalists to perform a handful of unique covers, including MGMT’s Kids, Nirvana’s Lithium, and Pixies’ Where Is My Mind.

Puddles Pity Party is back with another flawless cover, this time taking on one of our favorite songs of all time, the Pixies’ 1988 classic Where Is My Mind?, in a fantastic arrangement by Storm Large and The Balls.

After chopping up animal sounds to make a pants-wetttingly funny cover version of Linkin Park’s Numb, YouTuber Insane Cherry created a remake of The Pixies’ classic which literally made us spit our coffee out when one of the Nonono Cats got to singing.

Like chocolate and peanut butter, these DC Comics villains and The Pixies are two great tastes that taste great together. Theme Park Monsters mashed up the trailer for Suicide Squad with both the classic 1988 track, and the haunting piano remake by Maxence Cyrin.

Beatboxer THePETEBOX churns out an awesome live cover version of The Pixies classic using only his voice, an acoustic guitar, a digital looper and a Kaoss Pad. Grab the MP3 here. (Thanks, Adam!)
