The rover rolls on four tank-like tracks, carries multiple storage bins, and has a fold-out tent. It also has onboard batteries, lights for night driving, and an inverter that can power appliances. Those square steel tubes are like giant Meccano/Erector beams.

Honda takes their popular and modestly-capable Passport SUV to a new level of style and ability for 2026. The next-gen model is longer and wider and has increased ground clearance and suspension upgrades. We love the rugged new design and the improvements in cargo space, rear seat legroom, and a bigger touchscreen with Google built-in.

Get a good night’s sleep while overlanding with Luno’s super-comfy camping mattress. The inflatable bed uses open-cell foam sandwiched between protective layers for maximum comfort. Radius Outfitters makes this organizer box for overlanding. It’s ideal for small equipment like first aid items, flashlights, cameras, snacks, and utensils. It’s made from a durable ballistic material with a rigid top and bottom, a removable lid with a magnetic catch, and leather handles. Includes six dividers for customizing.

This innovative rooftop camper is easier to set up than others, thanks to its inflatable structure and built-in electric air pump. Unfold its ladder and push a button, and it does the rest. Outdoor and vehicle accessory maker Thule is showing off the Outset, a two-person folding tent that attaches to a hitch receiver and towbar for travel. The 150 lb. rig stows on the back of your vehicle and sets up on lightweight legs to get you off the ground. Its folding mechanisms make for easy one-person setup – the only downside – the $4000 price tag.

Roomy enough for two, the durable, triple-stitched 9’5″ hammock is essential equipment for camping, backyard lounging, or hangin’ anywhere you want.

STKR’s tallest telescoping light is perfect for outdoor adventures like camping, overlanding, and tailgating. It produces a bright, 360º area light from the top of its 10-foot extendable pole, powered by a 14000 mAh battery pack. The light outputs up to 2600 lumens and covers a wide area. Its collapsible tripod has rubber grips and tent stake holes for stability.

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is getting a rugged new variant. The Tacoma Trailhunter is a factory-developed overlanding config driven by an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain with 326 hp and 465 lb-ft. of torque. It has a lifted frame, off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, MOLLE mounting points, an air intake snorkel, skid plates, a high-output AC inverter, and more.

This Stewart & Stevenson M1079 military truck is now a home on wheels to Michael Ladden.
