Awesome Outkast

Hey, Ya! Playing card company, Theory11 teamed up with beloved duo Outkast to create this fantastic deck. The cards come packed in a red velvet box with gold foil artwork, and their backs are decorated with woodcuts of speakers, UFOs, and Cadillacs. The card fronts are illustrated with custom artwork of André 3000, Big Boi, and references to their music.

Shake it like a Polaroid picture and plunge into certain death with this unexpected mashup of Outkast’s Hey Ya! and Iron Maiden’s The Trooper. Remixer Bronze is Bored put together this great edit, and deserves way more subscribers with other gems like Head by the Hole, and The Fresh Prince of Slip Knot.

Musician Astrophysics takes songs from various genres, and slathers them with a thick layer of 1980s electronic sounds, then complements them with appropriately retro graphics. There’s lots of great stuff to enjoy on their YouTube channel, but this synthwave remix of Outkast’s 2003 hit Hey Ya! is our favorite (so far.)

The members of the Harvard THUD percussion ensemble shake their plastic tubes like a Polaroid picture with this playful cover of OutKast’s 2003 hit Hey Ya! For more boomwhacker fun, we recommend their versions of the Charlie Brown theme, Eye of the Tiger, and the Mii Channel music.

Serial screamer and contact wearer Leo Moracchioli’s takes on one of the most infectious earworms of all time, OutKast’s Hey Ya! Leo’s version will almost certainly have the song rattling around your head for the rest of the day too.

Ivy Hill AllStars‘ toned-down cover version of OutKast’s hit Hey Ya! might seem pretty normal if it weren’t for the fact that the guys are all lounging around a small bathroom in their birthday suits while performing the tune.

During their 2017 world tour, Rivers Cuomo and the gang shook it like a Polaroid picture, performing one of the more unlikely cover versions we’ve heard – a garage surfpunk rendition of Outkast’s 2003 hit Hey Ya! His haircut can’t keep up with André 3000’s though.

And we thought we had mad dance moves. These kids bust out their best OutKast on their Wii. And while Justin and Jeremy are twins, the boy on the left seems to have a better grasp on the lyrics.
