Awesome Nike

In the lead-up to Halloween, Nike is showing off a new pair of Air Max 95 sneakers inspired by Nightmare on Elm Street’s iconic villain. Its color scheme references Freddy Kreuger’s iconic sweater, while blood drips in back and spatters under its air cushions drive home the horror in a surprisingly subtle way.

Artist Michael Murphy of Perceptual Art designed this mind-blowing sculpture that looks like Michael Jordan’s iconic Jumpman logo when viewed from the front, and a Nike Air Jordan 1 sneaker from the side. A very limited number of the handpainted resin sculptures goes on sale 8.6.20 at 12pm ET at the Perceptual Store.

Nike’s Kevin Durant collection adds a great monochromatic colorway for the KD13. The high-energy basketball shoe features a full-length Air Zoom unit stacked on a secondary unit for added cushioning, and its lightweight upper gives a broken-in feel straight from the box. We really dig the grey-speckled soles.

“If they look weird, that’s because they’re made of trash.” Nike’s funky and sustainable Space Hippie line is made from 50% recycled materials by weight, including reground rubber, foam scraps, and Flyknit yarns made from recycled plastic bottles, t-shirts, and yarn scraps. We love how the design embraces the irregularities.

A bold red and black variant of Nike’s Air Max 720 Horizon, this shoe is ready for tougher weather than the typical sneaker, with a rugged tread for grip in the rain, and a GORE-TEX/synthetic upper to keep your feet dry. They pack a thick Air section below the entire footbed for maximum comfort.

Nike gives its ’90s inspired walking shoe a rich and rugged colorway that looks great for outdoor living. Its earthy olive drab main body is accented by a woven canvas inlay with shiny red accents, all riding atop a cushioned air pocket sole. Expect the design to hit stores and Nike.com before the end of 2019.

Featuring a vibrant design inspired by Kobe’s bestselling children’s novel, these low-tops have colorful print straight from the book’s cover. Black accents on the tongue, laces, rear midsole, and swoosh graphic offer added contrast, while neon green, blue, and red splash their way across the sole. Drops 12/1/19 from Nike.

Designed for conquering varied terrain, the Air Zoom Terra Kiger 5 running shoe has a lightweight Flymesh body, a cushy Nike React foam midsole, a grippy outsole, and a ventilated upper to keep your feet dry. It looks especially awesome in its Geode Teal/Black/Bright Crimson/Aurora colorway shown here.

A performance basketball show with a bold and dynamic look. Its external diamond cage structure isn’t just aesthetic – it actually helps to stabilize the foot, while its forefoot and sole are optimized for quick starts, stops, and directional changes. Drops 7/1/19 from Nike’s Jordan Collection and at select retailers.

Nike has unveiled a Stranger Things-themed collection of shoes and apparel. The Hawkins High pack consists of special colorways of the Blazer, the Tailwind and the Cortez, while the apparel consists of a tee, hoodies, pants and a cap. They will be available 6/27/19, just in time for Season 3.

Nike collaborated with artist Tom Sachs to design this NASA astronaut-inspired raincoat. It’s stored in a waist bag and can be quickly worn in one motion. You can then take it off, roll it up and store it back into the bag when you don’t need it.

Set fire to the green with this golf variant of Nike’s original Air Max shoe. The Air Max 1 G has a faux leather upper to keep moisture out. They don’t have spikes but do have a special pattern to enhance grip. It will also be available in white and red.

No soccer team has sponsored NASA yet. It’s a shame, because as Jefferson’s Apparel shows, the partnership would make for a sweet soccer jersey. This custom made jersey uses authentic Nike Dri-Fit jersey and has embroidered NASA and USA flag patches.

Nike and PlayStation’s PS x PG backpack matches the gray colorway of the original console and Paul George’s new PG 2.5 signature shoes. It features the PlayStation buttons on the top and the PS logo on the side.

Nike’s innovative and stylish running shoe returns with a vastly improved upper. The Air Vapormax 2019 features a more durable and weatherproof knit upper, and a new midfoot internal cage and larger heel clip for more support. Drops 1/10/19.

Nike took the incredibly light and comfortable patterned outsole from the stellar React Element line and gave it waterproof elements to create the React Runner. The mid-top shoe has a waterproof TPE ripstop upper and water-resistant taping. Available in three colors.

Paul George’s PG 2 Nike shoe debuted with a PlayStation 4 colorway. Nike is back with another signature shoe for the Oklahoma City Thunder star, and with it another PlayStation colorway. This time the sneaker pays homage to the original 1994 gaming console. Drops 12/1/18.

To celebrate the upcoming release of Creed II, Nike is releasing a full collection of Adonis Creed training gear. This CREED training t-shirt is part of that collection. Available in black or heather gray, the tee is made of Dri-Fit fabric.

Nike’s Shield collection gets runners ready for the rainy months ahead. The collection features six monochrome running shoes redone with water-repellent uppers. They also have reflective elements to help keep you safe when visibility is limited.

These Air Max 97s (Style 921826-201) feature an Ale Brown, Elemental Gold, and black color scheme inspired by the shipping boxes that show up at our homes all the time. To complete the effect, each one has a barcode built into its sole. Coming to the Nike Store any day now.
