Awesome New Balance

The New Balance 997H is an updated take on the company’s classic 997 walking shoes. Synthetic leather panels have been added to the original’s suede and mesh upper. This batch features four vibrant ’90s-themed colorways. Your dad can stick to the gray and black ones.

New Balance took its popular and slim 247 silhouette and added chunky elements for a new design that combines the past and the present. The 247v2 has a thick suede upper and a midsole with exaggerated proportions and a flared shape.

New Balance is coming up with so many new dope silhouettes this year, like these minimalist and incredibly comfortable sneakers. Nothing but perforated suede panels and a Vibram outsole, the 1978 comes in a variety of colorways to suit your style.

Following its limited edition variants, the mid-cut bootie revamp of the 574 is now available as a wide release. The vanilla 574 Sport doesn’t have swappable patches, but its modern silhouette and comfy Fresh Foam midsole are what really matter.

Kith founder Ronnie Fieg worked with Dover Street Market to update New Balance’s 574. The 574 Sport has an inner sock construction, a cushy Fresh Foam midsole, and 28 swappable N-logo Velcro patches. Drops 7/7/17 for $160 on Kith and DSM stores.

New Balance improves upon its hiking shoes with a warm and snug textile and suede upper, a soft heel collar that makes it easier to put the shoes on, and an outsole made from recycled rubber. There’s also a mesh and suede version for warmer climates.

Japanese shoe store Mita brought the heat and the rats for its take on New Balance’s hit shoe. The MRL247MT’s gray and brown colorway was inspired by the rodents plaguing Tokyo and many other urban joints. It also has reflective logos, side panels and heel tabs.

The casual version of New Balance’s new sock shoe silhouette. The 247 Sport trades the Luxe pack’s leather upper for a lighter and more breathable mesh upper. Available in olive, navy blue, orange and black.

The 247 is New Balance’s take on the trendy low profile sock shoe silhouette. Its first version is the Luxe pack, which has a nubuck sock and a full grain leather cage and perforated toe. Drops 1/7/17 in white, brown and black.

End Clothing’s exclusive New Balance kicks combine a marble-inspired colorway with a classic walking shoe silhouette. The M575END Marble White has a nubuck upper with suede overlays, an End lace lock, a two-tone midsole and gum rubber outsole.

Earth- and space-themed variants of the New Balance 580. The 580HT has a gray-green suede upper and reflective logo and heel tab. The 580DH has the slimmer Re-engineered upper in black with white specks. Drops 8/6/16 on Hypebeast.

New Balance’s Football Pack is a trio of UK-made monochromatic shoes inspired by ’80s soccer boots. Two of the shoes are based on existing models – the 1500 and the 577 – while the Epic TR is a new silhouette.

Save some of your Black Friday budget for this badass colorway of a ’90s classic. The M997BBK has a black suede upper and rubber outsole accented with white overlays, liner and midsole. Look for it on sneaker shops like Feature, Millennium, Oneness and more.

New Balance may have come up with the perfect athleisure shoe. It dressed up its new Fresh Foam Zante with a sweatshirt upper and heel and tongue leather accents, creating a cutting edge running shoe with casual looks.

Stay fresh on your run with one of the 1600’s newest colorways. It also trades the leather for a mesh and suede upper, and adds a marbled print on the midsole. Makes you wonder why NB even bothers releasing stale colors.

For its 25th anniversary, New Balance worked with Japanese retailers to release the limited edition MRL996RT. It has four colorways, but Tomorrowland’s black and gray is the most wicked of them all. Images by End Clothing.

New Balance collaborated with Herschel Supply Co. to release a special edition of the H710 off road sneaker. Available in gray, burgundy and olive green, the sneakers have ripstop nylon and suede uppers and paisley inner lining.

New Balance updates its classic 574 running shoe by equipping it with Revlite foam cushion for more comfort. The navy and red orange combo is freakin’ sweet too. Available on Feature, Amazon and New Balance.

Everyone should own a pair of comfortable walking shoes, and with its track pedigree, the U420 is a good option. It has a rubber outsole and suede and texile upper. Available in many colorways.

According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2012 is the year of the dragon, which is why New Balance decided to come up with the ML574 Dragon Year shoes. Has dragon graphics on the upper, heel patch and logo.

New Balance now offers customization options for the 574. Choose the color of various parts including the sole, tongue, and even the laces. Characters can also be embroidered on the heel tab.

The limited edition 576 France marks the first time that New Balance dedicated a shoe to a country. It’s available exclusively at the New Balance pop-up store at L’Imprimerie in Paris.
