New Balance took its popular and slim 247 silhouette and added chunky elements for a new design that combines the past and the present. The 247v2 has a thick suede upper and a midsole with exaggerated proportions and a flared shape.
New Balance improves upon its hiking shoes with a warm and snug textile and suede upper, a soft heel collar that makes it easier to put the shoes on, and an outsole made from recycled rubber. There’s also a mesh and suede version for warmer climates.
Japanese shoe store Mita brought the heat and the rats for its take on New Balance’s hit shoe. The MRL247MT’s gray and brown colorway was inspired by the rodents plaguing Tokyo and many other urban joints. It also has reflective logos, side panels and heel tabs.
