Equipped with deadly looking spikes on his tires (and balls of steel), MotoGP champ Marc Márquez managed to race his bike uphill on a snow and ice-covered ski slope on the Hahnenkamm mountain in Kitzbühel, Austria.

Honda’s one-off Riding Assist motorcycle uses an advanced steering actuator to keep itself balanced at rest or at low speeds. Its front wheel and fork can also be adjusted to provide greater balance. As a bonus, it can move on its own and follow a subject.

Death Machines of London bursts onto the scene with one hell of a debut. This overhauled 1981 Moto Guzzi Le Mans Mk. II has warning lights and a main switch from a Merlin Spitfire, custom front fairing and tank, and a delugged frame that houses all the electronics.

LEGO’s new BMW R 1200 GS set is boss, but we think this proposal for a 1967 R60/2 has the potential to be even better. Designed by LEGO Ideas member maximecheng03, it’s a tad skinnier than the actual bike, but we’re pretty sure LEGO can easily fix that.

Vietnam-based bike shop Bandit9 revives its instant classic in a reflective black chrome finish. The Eve’s trademark bullet-shaped tank is accompanied by a new “beacon cowl” that has a small spotlight at its tip, plus a black denim seat cover.

Inspired by the Tenere XT600Z enduro motorcycle, the T7 concept is a long-range off-roader with a lightweight midsize chassis, an aluminum tank, carbon fiber fairing and skidplate and 4-projector LED headlights.

Bandit9’s Honda Supersport mods all project an air of luxury, but the shop’s latest masterpiece screams it. The Eden has a beautiful handmade steel unibody with either gold or chrome plating, a sculpted exhaust, and a marble gas cap.

Bicyclists Tyler Bereman and Darryn Durham take a ride on the undulating Red Bull Straight Rhythm course in the darkness of night. We’re gonna guess that the illuminated smoke trails and starfield were enhanced in post-production, but they still look cool.

Jay Leno’s Garage highlights a stock 1912 Indian Single motorcycle and its owner, Alex Trepanier. Alex rode the Single on this year’s Motorcycle Cannonball, a 3,000mi journey across the U.S. for bikes that are at least 100 years old. Test ride at 14:38 – after a silly startup procedure.

BMW’s far future concept for a motorcycle is one that’s so smart and safe that riders will not need safety equipment. It balances on its own, and has a flexible frame and adaptive tires instead of joints, bearings or suspension.

Ducati’s entry-level sportbike has a 113hp 937cc engine based on the Hypermotard’s core. Its frame is similar to the Panigale’s but has a more comfortable riding stance. It also has three riding modes, an adjustable windscreen and adjustable suspension. More here.

This very naked bike isn’t ashamed of its new electric heart. Based on a 2003 Suzuki Savage, it has a 40hp Enertrac electric hub motor and batteries from a Nissan Leaf. It’s currently tuned to go 100mi per charge.

Bandit9 revisits its chrome and curves design for MB&F’s exhibit at M.A.D. Gallery Geneva. Limited to 9 units, each Eve Mk. II started out as a 1967 Honda Supersport. The unibody tank (and seat, and rear cowl) is capped by a beautiful front fairing.

In 1974, daredevil Evel Knievel infamously failed to jump the Snake River Canyon on a rocket bike. Now, stuntman Eddie Braun has pulled off the stunt, launching 2000ft into the sky off a 10-story ramp, at over 400mph. We’re hoping for some GoPro footage, but so far nothing.

Prop Store is auctioning off one of the six Batpod motorcycles that were made for and used in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. It’s in display-only setup and is slightly damaged, but this one-of-a-kind ride is expected to fetch at least $80,000.

This stunning skinny steampunk motorcycle is the work of German bike shop Urban Motor. It’s based on a 1964 Jawa 350 engine. Everything else was custom made, from the alloy body to its bizarre handlebars. Full story on Bike EXIF.

Guard the streets with ThinkGeek’s officially-licensed Master Chief motorcycle helmet. It meets DOT standards and has a anti-UV light coated ABS shell, a reflective visor with UV protection and removable and washable center and cheek pads.

One of the coolest motorcycles ever made is going under the hammer. One of only 100 units made, this particular C-01 is has a carbon fiber shell, a 175hp 1195cc KTM V-twin, carbon fiber wheels, 320mm Brembo brakes, Ohlins rear suspension and the classic Lotus livery.

Jay Leno checks out Untitled Motorcycles’ barebones variant of Ducati’s entry-level bike. The UMC-038 has been stripped down to its bare essentials, along with a custom tank, seat, rear subframe, a Ducati Monster swingarm and a modded QD box exhaust. Test drive at 11:10.

Iron Pirate Garage turned the top-heavy Ducati Supersport 750 into a visually balanced post-apocalyptic bobber. The Kraken’s custom made rear subframe, tank, horizontal exhausts and more. The yellow stripe is a nice visual break and homage to the 750 Imola.

BMW celebrates the 80th anniversary of its pre-WW II street racer with this one-off bobber. The R5 Hommage has a restored 1936 R5 engine, but the rest of it was mostly custom made by BMW Motorrad and Unique Custom Cycles.
