Awesome Melodicka Bros

The Melodicka Bros. are really good at reinventing popular songs. This time out, they took the high-energy Blur track Song 2 and reworked it with a 3/4 time signature. The result is a very different, yet equally entertaining track, alternatively known as “Song 3.”

The future is a dark place for the Melodicka Bros. The second in their Revolt Saga concept video series transports us to a dystopian future where synthwave and industrial music join forces to fight evil. At the end of the first clip, they acquired the I.R.O.N.M.A.N. suit, and now they’re celebrating their acquisition with a song.

The Melodicka Bros. are back with another cool cyberpunk/synthwave cover version of a classic tune. Their synth-heavy cover of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2) pays tribute to their supporters, who took on the part of the prep school chorus.

(Flashing Images) Last Halloween, the Melodicka Bros. took The Cranberries’ 1994 track Zombie and reimagined it as a gloomy, synth-heavy track that could have easily have been a track on the Depeche Mode album Music for the Masses.

The Melodicka Bros. progressive rock cover of Green Day’s American Idiot brilliantly captures the improvised and meandering style of the genre. The only way they could make it better is if they added an 8-minute guitar solo and a laser light show.

The Melodicka Bros. took The Animals’ classic House of the Rising Sun and transformed it into a dark and moody song that’s so emotive that it almost certainly will turn up on a soundtrack to set the stage for an intense movie or TV scene. The music video’s direction works perfectly with the gloomy track.

The Village People’s 1978 hit Y.M.C.A. has long outlived its disco origins, morphing into a crowd favorite at sporting events and parties, as people make letters with their arms. While the original was happy and upbeat, Melodicka Bros.’ cover version is anything but, transforming the track into a sad and introspective ballad.

After turning Y.M.C.A. into a really sad song, Italy’s Melodicka Bros have done the opposite with another song. Please enjoy as they perform an upbeat ska-punk version of Nirvana’s Lithium, bringing a little bit of levity into this otherwise very moody track.
