Awesome Mecha

We keep thinking MetaBallStudios is going to run out of things to compare the sizes of. But as long as they keep coming up with new videos, we’ll keep posting them. This time, we’ve got a look at the relative sizes of piloted Mecha robots, from The LEGO Movie’s tiny Construct-o-Mech to the mighty Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Bandai has released an impressive Soul of Chogokin action figure of the super robot from Armored Fleet Dairugger XV, aka the Vehicle Voltron. All 15 vehicles are here, and snap together to form an 11″ tall mech. It comes with a ton of weapons and four pairs of hands.

LEGO Ideas member baeeee9 made this proposal for an official set of Voltes V, the super robot from the eponymous 1970’s anime. Just like in the cartoon, it consists of five vehicles that can be combined to form the humanoid robot. We love the proposal’s sleek look.
