Awesome Maserati

This custom Mini Moke might look adorable, but she’s got it where it counts. French vehicle customizer Lazareth managed to build a modern tribute to the tiny utility vehicle using an aluminum chassis, and the V8 from a Maserati, bestowing it with a ridiculous 460 hp. Just listen to her purr.

DriveWithDave spent an afternoon with the Maserati Sebring, a car that made Jeremy Clarkson’s all time top 100 list.  Luxurious, stylish, only 348 were built, and the Sebring has a direct connection with such historic names as Stirling Moss and Juan Manuel Fangio.

This totally bonkers motorcycle from French custom shop Lazareth puts its rider atop a monstrous Maserati 4.7-liter V8. In all, the bike packs 470 horses and 457 lb-ft. of torque, and basically looks like a car engine with wheels. We can’t imagine how hot that seat gets.

The Italian luxury sports car maker jumps into the SUV market with a big splash – a stunning new ride that embodies the spirit of Maserati, with the utility that today’s drivers are looking for. We have few tech specs, but it will be an AWD with an 8-speed auto.

The snarling successor to the Maserati 450S Il Mostro, it has a carbon fiber monocoque, a 4.2L Maserati V8 central front-mounted engine and a six-speed semiautomatic gearbox. Only five were made, and all have been sold.

Maserati takes aim at major luxury car makers with its latest vehicle, the Ghibli – an elegant and aggressive 4-door sedan with a base price under $70,000(USD). We’re most intrigued by the upgraded S model, with its 410hp twin-turbo V6.

Legendary pro driver Sir Stirling Moss deems the Maserati 300S as the “nicest sports car” that he ever drove. This particular unit that Bonhams will auction off on 7/12/13 competed in American circuits from 1955 to 1958.

The new Quattroporte goes for a more graceful and smoother silhouette compared to its predecessor. It has an all-new powertrain co-developed with Ferrari that will have a V8 (possibly 530hp) engine.

The GranCabrio MC has a 460hp 4.7L V8 engine, a top speed of 179mph and goes from 0 to 60mph in 4.9s. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission, Brembo brakes and a monocoque chassis.

Blending modern lines with inspiration from classics, Andrea Spaggiari’s take on the Maserati loads a 450hp, longitudinal V8 in the front end to propel this RWD 2+2 on massive 20-inch wheels.

Germany’s DMC upgrades the Maserati Gran Turismo with a supercharger and electronic tuning to push the car’s 4.7L V8 from 434hp up to 582hp. Interior and exterior mods are sporty, but refined.

Maserati’s GranTurismo MC Stradale combines the best elements of the GranTurismo S with the race-spec GT4: a near-competition tuned chassis, 450 hp engine and optimized aerodynamics.

Building on an already gorgeous Maserati, Novitec Rosso boosts the sedans to a whopping 590-hp with their compressor tech, pushing the cars from 0 to 60 in 4.6 seconds, and a top speed of 183 mph.

Maserati’s 2011 Quattroporte Sport GT S Awards Edition has an exclusive Quarzo fuso finish, 20’’ Multi Trident rims with satin finish and hand-polished front and rear brake calipers.

For well-heeled (and well-oiled) sheiks only: Maserati’s GranTurismo S MC Sport Line will be limited to just 12 vehicles at Middle East dealers and features a Matt White “ice” finish.

Their first four-seater convertible, Maserati’s GranCabrio is an open-top version of the GranTurismo; it’s powered by a 440 bhp 4.7L V8, and features a canvas roof and long wheelbase.

Real men may drive stick shifts, but Maserati’s GranTurismo S Auto is tough to overlook; it mates a 4.7L V8 engine to a smooth ZF 6-speed gearbox for 440hp and 361 lb-ft of torque.
