Burger Fiction continues to make its way through the annals of superhero history, this time exploring the various versions of our favorite web-slinger as seen on big and little screens over the decades. We totally forgot Spidey was on The Electric Company.

The Film Theorists share interesting trivia behind the production of The Avengers, including how Marvel retained creative control by funding its own movie studio, and how director Joss Whedon saved us from a potentially disastrous script.

After regaling us with an Iron Man history lesson, Burger Fiction continues its exploration of comic book characters, with the on screen evolution of America’s hometown hero, Steve Rogers and his red, white, and blue alter ego. We still love the 1979 Cap’s Evel Knievel looks.

Unlike many recent superhero movies, Fox’s X-Men films have shied away from colorful and distinctive costumes. Kaptain Kristian points out how ironic this is, given that this team symbolizes oppressed minorities accepting who they are and standing up for their identities.

Cyclops goes up against Storm, Beast trades blows with Psylocke and the dashing Oscar Isaac turns into Jabba the Hutt’s left nut in the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. We can’t wait to see how Jubilee will be of absolutely no use to anyone.

YouTuber Aldo Jones loves to make movie trailers hilariously senseless using visual effects, such as warping characters’ faces and adding extra imagery. Here’s what he did to the last Captain America: Civil War trailer. Tony Stark turning into Lincoln Osiris killed us.

To tide fans over until Captain America: Civil War drops, Burger Fiction assembled this chronological compilation featuring practically all of Iron Man’s TV and movie appearances. That 1994 cartoon intro is hilariously awful.

(PG-13: Language) While you may not agree or feel as strongly as YouTuber I Hate Everything does about the flood of superhero flicks, he makes several great points. A movie should stand on its own, not be a mishmash of references, CGI and teasers for sequels.

Dr. Stephen Strange used to be a neurosurgeon, but an accident damaged his hands. While looking for a way to heal, he comes upon a mystical being that trains him to be the Sorcerer Supreme, which sounds like an awesome pizza flavor but is sadly just a mystical Neo.

“If we can’t accept limitations, we’re no better than the bad guys.” MCU Exchange did Marvel a huge solid with this awesome montage of clips from past Marvel movies and TV series that point to the big confrontation in Captain America: Civil War.

Marvel hired freehand phenom Kim Jung Gi to make a large illustration depicting its heroes fighting each other. The artwork will be split into eight and used as variant covers for the upcoming Civil War II comics, which will be released this June. Hi-res image here.

An expansion for Disney Infinity 3.0. It has a story mode involving Loki and Ultron, but the star of Marvel Battlegrounds is its brawl mode, where up to 4 players (or AI) can duke it out using characters from both Infinity 2.0 and 3.0. It’s Smash Bros, Disney style.

Matt Murdock is back to clean up Hell’s Kitchen from a new wave of baddies in Netflix’s spot-on comic book drama. And to gum up the works this year, The Punisher turns up with his own brand of street vengeance. We’ve just cancelled all our plans for the March 18 premiere.

The lines are drawn and the characters – well, most of them – have chosen their sides. Iron Man, War Machine, Black Widow, Vision and the Black Panther take on Cap, the Winter Soldier, the Falcon, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Ant-Man in a super powered Civil War.

“Everything they’ve built will fall!” Olivia Munn’s Psylocke is fully revealed and the X-Men’s god-like villain wreaks havoc on a scale befitting a man who calls himself Apocalypse in the film’s Super Bowl spot.

(Season 1 Spoilers) The teaser for season two of Netflix and Marvel’s awesome show offers no footage from the show, but it uses an artful approach to recap Matt Murdock’s story, and hints at the arrival of Elektra (Élodie Yung) and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). Drops 3/18/16.

(PG-13: Language) The latest trailer for Deadpool is predictably filled with his abridged origin story, snark and F-bombs. But the real treat for us came towards the end when we see Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

We’ve already seen how Ant-Man should have ended. Now find out how the movie began: as a freakin’ draft for Iron Man. Seriously that ending scene was just Marvel taunting folks like us with short term memory.

Bryan Singer returns once again to the X-Men franchise, jumping forward to 1983 this time, and introducing the evil mutant Apocalypse, a villain whose power is to absorb the powers of other mutants. And Professor X finally shaves his head.

The world’s governments want superheroes to be accountable for their actions, with Cap and Iron Man taking opposing stances. The film adaptation of Marvel’s hit comic book crossover appears to be much smaller in scale, but we’ll take what we can get.
