Awesome Lego

It’s one thing to build a LEGO replica, but to make a 1:8 scale Ferrari go-kart is just flat-out awesome. Used to promote LEGO World in The Netherlands, it’s made out of 80,000 bricks.

This isn’t just another Harley Davidson Fat Boy replica; taking LEGO to the max, it uses a NXT controller shaped like a handlebar complete with throttle control and brake lever.

These Lego motorcycles by Milto almost look life sized, but it’s really just forced perspective tricks. Either way, check out his gallery here, which also includes Batmobiles and Bugattis.

This vehicles trailer for Lego Batman makes us happy: available 9/23 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, it’ll let you build and drive your own Batmobile, Batboat and Batwing!

Lego’s uber cool Death Star is now available. This 16″ monstrosity includes multiple turbolasers, a TIE Advanced fighter, and 24 minifigures; have fun snapping together all 3,803 pieces.

The Empire apparently dominated the ’08 Olympics, as these Lego dioramas by Alan Chia show. Most memorable moment: stormtrooper spoofs the relay, gets throttled by Vader.

Puzzle Calendar’s 77 Lego-like tiles include dates, days, blanks and icons. Truth is, we can see ourselves wasting considerable man-hours building our calendar to be just so.
