MSI’s second-gen netbook, the Wind U120, isn’t much different from the U100; it does get a sharper, two-toned design and a 3.5G modem with its own SIM card slot; it’ll launch in December.
Rugged yet minimalist, Logitech’s KINETIC briefcase features a PU/EVA exo-shell and ballistic nylon; it sports three distinct compartments and holds most 15.4″ laptops (or a 17″ MacBook Pro).
Designed for frequent flyers, CODi’s Phantom CT3 bag is TSA friendly with a hinged butterfly design that allows it to splay out; velcro lets you grab the case and go after the X-ray scan.
You can never have too many 18.4″ laptops: Acer’s 8930 Gemstone will max out with a T9400 CPU, 4GB RAM, a GeForce 9700M GT, Blu-ray, HDMI out, 802.11 Draft-N and 2x320GB drives.
Forget dainty netbooks: Dell’s 17″ M6400 laptop is top of the line all the way, with a 1 GB Quadro FX 3700M card, quad core CPU and a whopping 16 GB of RAM. Thanks, Craig!
HP’s HDX18t mega-laptop is now available; although visually identical to its little bro (the HDX16t), a larger 18.4″ 16:9 Full HD screen and Blu-ray drive are standard.
Slappa’s Ballistix PTAC Matrix laptop bag will resist rough handling; made with ballistic nylon, it’s both water and tear resistant. It’s also huge, with 1500 cubic inches of space.
Even more 007 gear: this Quantum of Solace-branded 13.3″ Sony Vaio TT is limited to 100 units; it’s loaded with 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD; no word on hidden lasers or missiles.
HP’s dv3500t is their first 13.3″ notebook; it maxes out at 8GB of RAM and a 512MB GeForce 9300M GS card; add $100 to get an LED screen which will reduce its weight to 4.1 lbs.
We like the minimalist stylings of this Axio Sling Bag, which can stow a 17″ MacBook Pro and includes 3 external pockets. Axio was founded by legendary BMX Freestyle biker, Bob Haro.
Toshiba’s E105 Satellite seems more like a MacBook Pro, with a squarish design and corner perforations. It’ll get a 14.1″ TFT LCD screen, max 4GB of RAM and integrated graphics.
Oakley’s Kitchen Sink Backpack is an uber bag with tons of features; able to hold a 17″ laptop, it includes a molded top compartment for sunglasses and drainage ports for wet items.
Although it’s targeted towards the ladies, LG’s Momo X110 netbook has a two advantages: integrated 3G and a more useable keyboard thanks to thoughtfully placed arrow keys.
Eminently functional, it’s a nice bonus that Solo’s Urban Messenger bag also looks pretty sweet, with an earthy matte canvas exterior and distressed leather piping. It’ll hold a 15.4″ laptop.
