LaCie’s Rugged RAID Shuttle external drive now maxes out at a substantial 8 TB. They also now have USB-C and Thunderbolt 3-compatible versions. The drives are resistant to drops, rain, dust and crushing, and use Seagate’s encryption technology.

LaCie’s new Portable SSD uses USB-C for up to 540MB/s transfer speeds. It weighs just 2.9oz and is a mere 0.35″ thick. It’s also drop resistant up to 6.5ft. It’s available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities, and comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable.

The LaCie Mirror is an external hard drive encased in polished Gorilla Glass 3, giving it a mirrored finish. And soon, a pattern of your fingerprints. The 1TB USB 3.0 drive comes with an ebony wood display stand and pen holder.

LaCie now uses a 5TB 7200rpm hard drive in their desktop Thunderbolt external drives. The voluminous storage device is available in the single drive d2, the dual-bay RAID 2big and the five-bay RAID 5big with up to 25TB.

A smaller version of LaCie’s popular iamaKey drive, the PetiteKey is waterproof, scratch-resistant and has AES 256-bit encryption. This tiny flash drive comes in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities.

A USB 3.0 flash drive with AES 256-bit encryption and protection from heat, cold, dust and water. It will also survive being dropped from more than 300ft. Comes in 16GB and 32GB variants.

The new Little Big Disk has Thunderbolt tech. Daisy-chain it to up to 5 other Thunderbolt devices and enjoy 2-way data transfer at up to 10Gb/s. Coming in 240/500GB SSD and 1TB HDD versions.

André Silva’s concept design integrates a storage device (in HD or SSD versions), along with LED under-body lighting and a top that doubles as a multi-touch trackpad. LaCie, please take a look.

LaCie is all about small storage devices these days. Alongside the MosKeyto comes the Minimus. Small in both size and prize, it’s a 1TB USB 3.0 external hard drive in an aluminum case.

LaCie says the diminutive MosKeyto is a “plug it & forget it” kind of thing. Because forgetting where you placed your files sure is a neat experience. But seriously, it’s perfect if you’re always on the go.

It may not be the smallest portable hard drive, but LaCie’s Rikiki is one of the sleekest; it sports a brushed aluminum housing with up to 640 GB, weighs 5.6 oz, and measures 1/2″ thick.

Designed for both staring and storing, LaCie’s Starck external hard drives (available in Mobile or Desktop flavors) sport a curvy millimeters-thick aluminum shell with up to 2 TB of space.

Dave, I think you should buy this: it looks like HAL, but LaCie’s 5Big only wants to save files. It features 5 swappable bays up to 7.5 TB, with USB 2.0 and SATA ports for external drives.
