Awesome Knives

We’ve seen knives being made using classic blacksmithing techniques, but Gough Custom, shows off how they make their Resolute MkIII knives using modern materials and CNC technology. Machines or not, there’s still a ton of labor and craftsmanship in each knife.

Quietcarry’s latest tool features is all about minimalism. This pocket flipper borrows inspiration from the traditional Japanese Higo knife, updated with modern materials like titanium and carbon fiber. Weighs just 2.2 ounces, and has a 2.9″ VG-10 stainless blade.

A razor-sharp scalpel knife masquerading as a mini rifle. It packs a micro screwdriver, which can also be used for changing blades, a bottle opener, and two screwdriver bits. Comes with a sweet mini aluminum display briefcase. Be sure to check out their Crane folding scalpel too.

Knives are typically made from tool steel. But the guys at Ollari’s show us how with the proper cutting blades and an angle grinder, a block of granite can be transformed into a sharp-edged cutting tool as well. We’re betting Primitive Technology would do the same with only a rock.

You’ll always win the game with Spyderco’s awesome playing card-themed pocket knife. Designed by custom knifemaker A.T. Barr, it features ivory texture G-10 scales with black spade and red heart inlays, and a liner-lock 2.5-inch CPM S30V stainless steel blade.
