Awesome Jurassic Park

Bill Hader’s return to host Saturday Night Live featured this sketch, featuring hilarious cast impressions of numerous 1990s celebrities as they each tried out for a role in the Steven Spielberg’s original Jurassic Park. That Sinbad joke. Ouch.

Four years after the dinosaurs smashed up the theme park, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) return to the scene of the crime on a mission to prevent the creatures from going extinct in the midst of a volcanic eruption. What could possibly go wrong?

“Don’t you see the danger, John, inherent in what you’re doing here?” Chronicle Collectibles‘ officially-licensed statue is a 1:5 scale model of Rexy, the female T-Rex from Jurassic Park. It measures 8′ x 4′ x 4′ and weighs 150lb. Instead of meat, it eats money. $4500 to be exact.

If you build it, they will come. And probably get eaten. Jurassic World Evolution is a theme park simulation game based on the Jurassic Park franchise. Just like in the film, the game will allow you to create new types of dinosaurs. Coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2018.

Peter Brown and pocket83 teamed up to make a pair of replicas of the amber-topped bone cane owned by Jurassic Park’s creator John Hammond. Brown waited for over a year to capture crane flies for the amber topper. Watch pocket83’s part here.

Graphic designer Alan Hynes designed five enamel pins for Mondo based on the dinosaur enclosure icons in Jurassic Park. There’s one each for the T-Rex, velociraptor, triceratops, brachiosaurus and dilophosaurus paddocks. They’re $10 each or $40 as a set.

Robert Xavier Burden is a collectible toy geek. He’s also an incredibly talented painter. He combines his passions by creating massive and intricate Renaissance-style oil paintings – sometimes as tall as 15 feet – of his toys and their related characters.

The ultimate tee for Chris Pratt fans envisions a world in which the superstar tames velociraptors from the comfort of his Star-Lord helmet. We’re betting that an infinity stone would have made quick work of Indominus Rex.

Digital Wizards Studios used over $100,000 worth of LEGO to recreate some of the most memorable scenes from Jurassic Park. Though in the spirit of LEGO films and games they added humourous twists here and there as well.

LEGO Jurassic World features events and characters from the four Jurassic Park movies. Like many other LEGO games, it will support drop-in/drop-out local multiplayer. You’ll also be able to collect and play as 20 dinosaurs.

Darren Wallace must have had some time (and drugs) on his hands when he decided to take the trailer for Jurassic World and rework it in the weirdest possible way. All we know is that it’s got velociraptors on motorcycles.

We now know that Chris Pratt stars in the new Jurassic World movie. So it’s amusing that in this four year old Parks and Rec behind-the-scenes clip, Chris was sassing Spielberg about the opportunity to star in Jurassic Park 4.

The heroes of Jurassic Park can’t believe that – well, if you’ve seen Ace Ventura then you probably know which scene is used here. One of those times when it’s funnier if you haven’t seen the movie being referenced.

Following up on their Goat-filled Game of Thrones theme, Marca Blanca is back with the theme from Jurassic Park, as sung by goats. We’re waiting for the part where the T. Rex eats them all.
