Awesome Joy Division

Desmond Doom likes to rearrange and perform songs in the styles of different musicians. Here, he entertains us with a jangly reinterpretation of the Joy Division track Love Will Tear Us Apart as if it was an early 1960s Beatles track.

Peter Hook, musical director Tim Crooks, and an ensemble of musicians perform Love Will Tear Us Apart from their Dreams EP, which features four classic Joy Division tracks reimagined with an orchestra. Tracks include Atmosphere, New Dawn Fades, and A Means to an End, plus two alternative versions.

The Hot 8 Brass Band presents an energetic jazz version of Joy Division’s 1980 track Love Will Tear Us Apart that will transport your soul to the streets of New Orleans. They recorded the track to promote the Jazz Foundation of America’s emergency fund, which helps support musicians in need. You can help with a donation here.
