Awesome Jk Brickworks

A little while back, JK Brickworks built a circular LEGO machine that knocks over dominoes and stands them back up. In this video, he experiments with the concept a bit more based on reader comments. In addition to changing their face colors, he tweaks the machine’s speed, adds a second carriage, and swaps in a colorful rainbow of dominoes.

We’ve seen a LEGO machine that keeps knocking down and standing up a row of dominoes, but this version by JK Brickworks is even more satisfying. After its 64 dominoes start falling, a motorized train runs around its circular track and stands them back up. If it weren’t for its power needs, it could run forever.

Jason from JK Brickworks shows off a nifty LEGO machine inspired by the design of particle accelerators. Instead of zooming protons and electrons around its ring, this one accelerates and collides tiny plastic spheres. A build kit will be crowdfunded on Bricklink, with limited time pre-orders kicking off 7.1.2021.

Jason of JK Brickworks built this wonderful mechanical LEGO plaything inspired by an equally great retro Japanese battery commercial. It features a fire-fighting robot dog that climbs to the top of a tower, then smoothly descends to the bottom to repeat the task over and over.

We’ve previously seen a LEGO machine that could neatly distribute and space wooden dominoes. But this one works a bit differently. JK Brickworks‘ machine carries stacks of LEGO bricks in a cartridge then dispenses them to form perfect lines of dominoes. Its drivetrain allows it to be driven in straight lines or curves.

JK Brickworks shows off another one of his neat LEGO creations – a train that hangs from a track instead of riding on rails below. The design uses LEGO roller coaster track and motorized rollers above the gondola-style railway cars. Watch the build, or skip to 4:27 to see it running.

Jason of JK Brickworks shows of an amazing LEGO kinetic sculpture of Greek goddess Artemis. When a crank is turned, she draws her bow and fires an “arrow” made from a piece of flexible tubing. The mechanism’s design was inspired by a wooden automata created by Del Cat.

We’re surprised that LEGO machine expert JK Brickworks has never built a Great Ball Contraption module before, but his first one definitely lives up to his standards. Watch as four tiny LEGO robots work along an assembly line, each passing a ball to the next to move it down the line. It also appears to work as a hypnosis device.
