Awesome Iceland

For their wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. SmarterEveryDay went to Iceland and tried drysuit diving at Silfra, Iceland. It’s the only place in the world where you can dive between two continental plates, and has incredibly clear and clean water.

Adventurer Klemen Premrl takes us on a tour of some of Iceland’s most astounding natural structures, made from ice and volcanic rock. We’re still blown away every time we see the blue-green color of naturally-occurring ice.

During a Formula Offroad event in Iceland, driver Ingólfur Guðvarðarson’s steering wheel decided to quick-release right in the middle of a hill climb. He lost control of the car, but fortunately both he and his sturdy car were okay.

After a concert in Wuppertal, Germany, the vocalists of Icelandic folk band Árstíðir stopped into the nearby train station after they discovered its incredible acoustic properties. We can only imagine how this sounded in person.
