Awesome Hyundai N

If you had told us ten years ago that a Hyundai Elantra would make a great sports car, we would called you crazy. But here we are in 2022, and the Elantra N is one our favorite cars of the year. The compact sedan has a great, energetic drivetrain, crisp handling, an awesome exhaust note, and an available manual transmission.

Based on the 2022 Hyundai Kona compact crossover, the Kona N drops the hammer on performance, adding aggressive new styling, aero and airflow upgrades, performance dual exhaust, and a rumored 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that makes 275 hp. Hyundai’s very nice Sonata sedan gets a big performance boost. The N Line packs a 2.5-liter turbo-4 that makes 290 hp and 311 lb-ft. of torque, an 8-speed “wet” DCT, a sport-tuned suspension, and performance brakes. It also has stiffer engine and transmission mounts, and “N” sport seats with Nappa leather and suede inserts.
