NoCal’s Elation Hypercars is showing off its $2 million electric sports car. The Elation Freedom is slated to produce 1414 hp via its three liquid-cooled motors – or 1903 hp for buyers who opt for a fourth drive unit. It also features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, which should help offset the weight of its 100kWh or 120kWh battery.
If there was ever any question that electric vehicles could be faster than gas-powered ones, let this video be a lesson to you. Ride along as the NIO EP9, a 1342 hp electric hypercar laps the Nürburgring in 6:45:90 – the fastest time ever recorded in a production car.
