Awesome Hulu

(PG-13: Language) Korvo, Yumyulack, Terry, Jesse, and the Pupa are back and causing more mayhem than ever in season two of Solar Opposites. If you didn’t get to watch season one of Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan’s hilariously warped animated series, now’s a great time to do it with the second season hitting Hulu on 3.26.2021.

(PG-13: Language) This animated comedy from the producers of Robot Chicken follows a young man who wants to be a knight, only to find out that his castle is ruled by a corrupt and deranged king. Features the voices of Nicholas Hoult, Tara Strong, Luke Evans, Tony Hale, and more. All episodes on Hulu now (6.12.20).

A group of US airmen try to stay sane during World War II. Catch-22 is a six-episode miniseries on Hulu based on the classic dark comedy novel. It’s co-directed by George Clooney and stars Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Christopher Abbott, and Kyle Chandler.

“Anytime people venture into the unknown, there is a cost.” From the creator of House of Cards comes a new Hulu series. Set in the year 2030, The First stars Sean Penn as one of a group of astronauts on a pioneering mission to Mars. The series premieres 9/14/18.

“People say every inch of this town is stained with someone’s sin.” Hulu’s Castle Rock is a treat for Stephen King fans. It takes place in the fictional location of many of King’s works. It appears as if some of his characters have populated the town as well. Premieres 7/25/18.

Elizabeth Moss stars as Offred, one of the women abducted by a cult to bear children for their leader. The Handmaid’s Tale is a Hulu adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s chilling dystopian sci-fi novel. Premieres 4/26/17.

“When you’re close to changing something, you’ll feel it push back.” Hulu’s mini-series 11.22.63 is based on Stephen King’s eponymous novel, about a teacher who tries to prevent JFK’s assassination using a time machine in a diner. Premieres 2/15/16.

It took them long enough, but Hulu now has a new subscription plan with zero commercials. It costs $12 a month; $14 if you pay for the subscription on your iOS device using your iTunes account. The $8 plan is still available.

Hulu Plus might be the dagger of death to US cable TV, streaming shows on the iPad, iPhone, PS3 and other connected devices over Wi-Fi and 3G for just $10/month. Still not ad free, though. Boo.

Family Guy creator and voice behind Stewie and Peter Griffin Seth MacFarlane lends his considerable voice talents to this awesome ad, part of Hulu’s ongoing “Alien Plot” campaign.
