IKEA is now making home accessories using a 3D printing technique known as selective laser sintering. The collection includes wireframe models of heads and hands, which can be hung on the wall or placed on a tabletop. They’re currently only available from IKEA Germany, but we hope to see them elsewhere soon.

Aviation buffs, decorate your space with these playful cylindrical ottomans from Airportag. One looks like the engine from a jet airplane, while the other looks like landing gear. Each one has a washable polyester cover wrapped around a zippered insert filled with polystyrene beads. They measure 13″ across by 20.5″ high.
LEGO teamed up with ROOM Copenhagen to create a collection of wooden home accessories inspired by LEGO bricks. The series includes stackable drawers, picture frames, book racks, and wall hangers. West Elm’s ceramic animal planters make a great gift for animal lovers. They add a touch of whimsy and cheer to any space, and designer Rachel Kozlowski’s dapper owl, bunny, and fox remind us of one of our favorite Wes Anderson movies, Fantastic Mr. Fox. They measure appx. 5″ to 6″ high. Sold individually.
The first collaboration between designer Philippe Starck and Spanish furnishings manufacturer Andreu World is a puzzle. Their Adela Rex walnut and oak plywood armchairs are made from three molded shapes that fit together without hardware. (Take that, IKEA.) Part of World’s 100% pure wood project, the chairs are FSC Certified.
The classically cool Airstream “silver bullet” trailer gets an interior upgrade from Pottery Barn. The 28-foot, $145,500 Airstream features PB hardware, fixtures, awnings, kitchen accessories, tableware, and accent pieces, and seating inspired by PB’s Big Sur Collection, including an L-shaped sofa with a table hidden in the arm.
