HBO flaunts its roster of shows with a pair of ads that sees the characters from Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley and more recreating the channel’s opening sound effect. Naturally, John Oliver had something to say about it.

“Roman coinage? Being wheeled into a sunny spot? Lenses in an hour or less?” HBO shares the outtakes of the Silicon Valley scene where T.J. Miller’s insecure douchebag investor character Erlich Bachman meets seasoned CEO Jack Barker.

(Season 5 Spoilers) Whether it was meant to prevent us from eyeing key plot elements, or it’s just a reflection of the show’s dark themes, the latest Game of Thrones trailer is so dimly lit that we recommend watching it with the lights turned down.

From the creators of Eastbound and Down comes a new HBO comedy series. Danny McBride plays a longtime and reviled high school vice principal, whose ambition to be the principal is threatened by his new colleague, played by Walton Goggins. Premieres 7/2016.

It was recently announced that Sesame Street would be airing episodes on HBO. But if the guys at Barely Productions are to be believed (and they aren’t), the gang will be getting decidedly more adult, per HBO standards.

(PG-13) From writer and producer Terence Winter (The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire), director Martin Scorsese and ghoul Mick Jagger comes Vinyl, a ’70s drama about a record executive trying to rescue his dying label.

“Ruth. Mantle. Will Ferrell.” Last March, Ferrell played for 10 Major League Baseball teams in one day, assuming a different role for each team. The HBO comedy documentary will raise funds for cancer-fighting charities. Airs 9/12.

(PG-13) HBO’s new comedy series The Brink revolves around three US government employees who are trying to prevent World War III despite being despicable, inept or both. Starring Tim Robbins, Jack Black and Pablo Schreiber.

(PG-13) Andy Samberg plays Serena Williams’ adopted brother while Kit Harington plays a handsome but naïve star in HBO’s tennis mockumentary. Samberg is clearly hopeless as an actor, so we’re counting on Kit to save the day.
