Awesome Hatchbacks

We’ve driven the Toyota GR Supra a few times, and it’s great fun. But we’d only driven the more powerful and expensive 3.0-liter model to date. Now, we’ve had the chance to spend some time with the 2.0-liter sports coupe, and we were impressed with just how great it is to drive while saving cash and sipping less fuel.

The Mazda3 hatchback is one good-looking car, with its shooting brake profile and the sleek, sculptural design Mazda is known for. But beauty is way more than skin deep, especially now that you can equip the car with a 2.5L turbo engine and an all-wheel drivetrain. We spent a wintry week with one and are here to share our enthusiasm.

A sporty new variant of Honda’s ubiquitous daily driver. In Sport trim, the fantastic looking hatch version gets a 1.5L turbo 4 with up to 180hp and 177 lb-ft. of torque, a 6-speed manual or CVT, and great fuel economy to boot.
