Awesome Halo

Few things are as integral to modern civilization as the fine art of teabagging; The Teabag Shirt is an ode to one of Halo’s most cherished traditions and also a wink and nod to RvB fans.

It looks like a Halo 3 screenshot, but this is actually a working desktop UI: the player indicators are program shortcuts, the radar displays temperature and ammo shows laptop battery life.

Oft-mentioned in the Halo mythos but never fleshed-out, the fall of Reach gets its own game; Halo: Reach is due out Fall 2010 and focuses on the events before the first Halo.

We finally get some gameplay to chew on for Halo 3: ODST in the trailer above; Master Chief will be missed, but the revamped graphics and new abilities have us cleaning our battle rifles.

Styled like a Saturday morning toy commercial, this hilarious Mythic Map Pack trailer for Halo 3 shows developers do have a sense of humor. Either that, or they’re high as a kite.

It’s not top-shelf machinima, but we’re still floored by Halo: All I Play-Oh; it’s a music video by Usethefork set to Jude Kelley and Dan Amrich’s Halo parody of RHCP’s Snow.

I spy a Covenant plasma pistol: this amazingly detailed Xbox 360 mod by Max is a Halo-themed diorama that should make any Spartan weep; it took roughly two months to create.

Those of you still Halo Wars-deprived should check out these Enemy Ocean, Backup and Kidnapping cutscenes; the Warthog filled with Spartans in the last one: awesomeness.

Developers, journalists and gamers alike give Halo Wars a proper introduction with this Universe Expanded Trailer; Part One explores the Halo back story, Spartans and Harvest.

Simultaneously awesome and ridiculous, Master Chief and the Arbiter take on some random baddies with a twist: they’re forced to fight a-la Final Fantasy, resulting in a five minute battle.

This Halo Vibe video for Halo Wars scores buko bucks with sweet cinematics in the intro, and then relentlessly expounds on the awesomeness of Spartans; we ain’t complaining.

Made for a Halo movie pitch that went nowhere, this full-sized Warthog replica is every Master Chief’s dream; it actually works, with a turbo 6 cylinder engine and four wheel drive.

Merry Christmas, Master Chief: Microsoft has dropped a grunt-astic amount of info on Halo Wars, with detailed UNSC and Covenant descriptions, artwork and in-game screenshots.
