It seems like Halloween songs have become a bit of a lost art. But back in the 1920s and 1930s, we had plenty of creepy songs to choose from for our trick-or-treat playlists. History Tea Time with Lindsay Holiday compiled an appropriate quantity of these vintage tracks to set the mood for your festivities.

These limited-edition tiki mugs feature fantastically creepy sculpts inspired by Halloween III: Season of the Witch. Portland has a reputation for keeping things weird, and Raven’s Manor is up to the challenge. The downtown lounge has a haunted mansion theme, loaded with creepy secrets to discover. Its cocktail menu includes bubbling, smoking, and flaming concoctions in fruity and “spirit-forward” varieties to please all palates.

Artist Scott Wilcock creates his freehand Snow Graffiti by spraying cans of fake snow onto windows. Watch as he creates a series of Halloween and horror-themed portraits, inspired by Edward Scissorhands, Hocus Pocus, and IT. Find more of Scott’s images on Instagram. It’s easy enough to make stage blood, but ketchup has always been a go-to for last-minute Halloween costumes. Heinz is rolling with that idea with its “Tomato Blood” – their beloved red condiment in special Halloween packaging. They’re also selling a collectible costume kit and various blood-compatible costumes.

Enjoy a little Halloween fun with this not-so-evil version of Michael Jackson’s Thriller played by the Melodica Men, as they ham it up and terrorize y’alls neighborhood with the funk of 40,000 years.

Each year, Tom BetGeorge puts on an awesome Halloween light show to help raise funds for the McHenry House Family Shelter. One of 2021’s displays was inspired by The Matrix, complete with those iconic green computer effects, and set to Rage Against the Machine’s Wake Up, the track from the ending sequence of the movie.

Musical mashup and meme maker William Maranci managed to assemble this brilliant mashup just in time for Halloween, somehow blending together Ray Parker Jr.’s theme from Ghostbusters with Nine Inch Nails’ industrial classic Closer.

In this Halloween special, The Muppets find themselves as guests in Disney’s famed Haunted Mansion, challenged with surviving one night inside of its creep-filled walls. They’re joined by Will Arnett, Yvette Nicole Brown, Darren Criss, John Stamos, and another famous Henson, Taraji P. Premieres 10.8.2021 on Disney+.

Celebrate Halloween with these spooky salad plates from PATCH NYC and Crate & Barrel. Each glazed porcelain plate features a black and white woodcut design against a high-contrast color scheme. The set of 8″ plates includes scary skull, kooky kitty, crazy crow, and batty bat designs. Also: creepy old fashioned glasses.

Just in time for Halloween, artist Chet Phillips has released a spooktacular deck of cards, each illustrated with a playfully creepy creature. The monstrous deck includes four trick-or-treat inspired Wild cards, including a possessed candy corn, a batty Tootsie Roll, a bad caramel apple, and a cupcake straight out of The Thing.

What could be better than LEGO + Star Wars? According to Disney, LEGO + Star Wars + Halloween. In this Disney+ special, Poe Dameron and BB-8 land on a Mustafar, where a Hutt named Graballa has set up a Sith-inspired theme park and hotel. Then Emperor Palpatine shows up and tries to start raising the dead.

Halloween candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker. No bones about it, this mouth-blown Glass Skull Decanter from Pottery Barn is ideal for serving spirits – and ghoulish guests – at Halloween parties. For Halloween 2020, animator Lawrence Becker created a stop-motion short featuring a miniature Will Smith carving a pumpkin with a tiny sword. This behind-the-scenes look at how he made it is just as awesome as the animation itself. Also, his stop-motion Danny Devito Penguin pumpkin would make Tim Burton proud.

This gothic serving set pours on the charm with tea for four. Portland’s Angioletti Designs kiln-fires porcelain fine china with Victorian, baroque, and rococo images, including this moody black-and-gold set that invites a bat, cat, eye, and crow to the tea party. Foodsafe, durable, and wear-resistant with hand-washing care.

The grinning ghosts in installations by artist Roberto Cambi have won awards for playfully haunting European landmarks. Cambi also makes mini versions as tea light holders to decorate not-so-haunted houses everywhere. Artemest and Pasadena’s Gold Bug sell them in small, medium, and large. No two are alike.

It wouldn’t be Halloween without some creepy, crawly spiders, and when it comes to scary arachnids, the bigger the better. Paul Jones of Dead and Daughter shows us how he built a massive spider for his lawn using PVC pipe, bendy hair rollers, a bike helmet, duct tape, and wig hair among other things.

(PG-13) “Everything is crumbling.” The man behind Oingo Boingo and the music from The Nightmare Before Christmas among other things unwraps another Halloween present. Elfman created the track in 2020, saying “The cynical nature of the lyrics echo how I feel about living in a semi-dystopian world turned upside down.”

As the girls of Camp Heebie Jeebie share their creepy ghost stories, things take a turn and their creations start to come to life. Animator Dylan Chase’s comedic horror short has some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments, along with exceptional character design and storytelling.

(PG-13: Language) Halloween is nearly here, and to celebrate, DJ Cummerbund is here to bring us some holiday cheer. Combining Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s WAP with Bobby “Boris” Pickett’s Monster Mash, and a dash of Elton John’s Crocodile Rock is something only a truly warped mind could come up with.

Retro software experts Squirrel Monkey look back a series of fictitious programs from the late 1980s that were designed to help people talk to the dead and predict the future. Early PC software was apparently way creepier than we remember it. And yes, we know the World Wide Web didn’t actually start until 1989.

Shane from Stuff Made Here has a thing for robots. For Halloween, the engineer repurposed parts from his terrifying haircutting robot into a CNC machine that can automatically carve pumpkins based on images he uploads to it. Along the way, he got to play with a fancy new Tormach plasma cutter.
