Awesome Gremlins

It took 56 people four years to build Gremlin Symphony inside Convergence Station, Denver. The room is an art installation made from trash sculpted around instruments that play themselves using robotics or can be played by a human. Reggie Watts got together with co-creator Meason Wiley to give it a test run.

Joe Dante’s 1984 Gremlins is a classic popcorn flick, packed with offbeat humor, gross-out gags, memorable monsters, and its share of charming moments. But In Praise of Shadows thinks it’s much more, establishing a whole new direction for how little creatures have been treated in horror and fantasy films ever since.

NECA’s 6″ tall figure of the mischievous leader of the gremlin uprising is beautifully detailed, with a tuft of white hair on its head, and beady little eyes. It has 25 points of articulation, including its ears and jaw, and comes with a chainsaw, skateboard, and other accessories.

DKNG and Mondo present three most excellent enamel pins inspired by the classic 1984 popcorn flick Gremlins. Beep Beep is driving a literally little red Corvette, Uh Oh’s helmet is protecting him from all the chaos, and Showtime is tickling the synthetic ivories.

A wonderful fan film follow-up to the 1980s classic Gremlins. Writer and director Ryan Patrick manages to pay homage to the original, retaining its darkly comic spirit, charming practical visual effects, and adding a fun new twist to the story.

Mondo teamed up with Michael Bonanno and Ramirez Studios to create these awesome tiki mugs inspired by the sci-fi comedy Gremlins. The limited edition mugs will start shipping in early 2017, and are the first in a series which will include Alien and Iron Giant tiki mugs.
