Awesome Grand Theft Auto

As you wander the streets of Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V, you’ll run into all kinds of quirky characters. But in all of our hours of gameplay, we have never come across Ace Ventura. eli_handle_b․wav edited Jim Carrey’s pet detective into the game, weaving his obnoxious antics into the storyline, presumably to rescue the LS Pounders’ team mascot.

Artist and designer Dom Riccobene painstakingly replicated the full single-player map of Los Santos from Grand Theft Auto V as a 3D model. Because of the size of his 3D printer, he broke the map down into 24 quadrants, then assembled each piece onto a 20″ x 30″ base. We enjoyed watching the map legend being carved too.

We’ve been grooving to the Gorillaz album Song Machine, Season One since it dropped, and their team-up with Beck on The Valley of the Pagans is one of our favorite tracks. Now, we have the official music video, which just happens to have been created in Grand Theft Auto V.

As good as the graphics have gotten in video games, the character animations aren’t always as convincing. In this hilarious video from Komazawa Isolation, the protagonist walks around Tokyo’s Shibuya district just like they do in third-person action games like Grand Theft Auto. The spot-on camera work seals the deal.

There have been lots of visual mods to Grand Theft Auto V since it was released back in 2013, but this one takes the cake. While LEGO has bent some of its rules about violence by offering weapons with some of its Star Wars sets, the brand is still pretty much about clean, wholesome fun. But that didn’t stop Nukazooka from imagining a LEGO movie based on the world of Grand Theft Auto.

JulioNIB’s Grand Theft Auto V mod lets you play as the Master of Magnetism. As Magneto, you can manipulate vehicles, even airplanes and trains. You can also deflect bullets, grab weapons and fire them, and turn wind turbines into giant blades of destruction.

(PG-13) Wubba lubba mod mod! Rick and Morty fan zzcool and their fellow modders brought one of the show’s dimensions to Grand Theft Auto V. It includes the Cromulons, a working portal gun, Pickle Rick and more. It seems to have borrowed assets from Virtual Rick-ality.

(PG-13: Language) The upcoming Nintendo Switch title Super Mario Odyssey sets part of the game in the big city. While we wait for the actual game to be released, YouTuber CrowbCat did his best to approximate what we can expect using Grand Theft Auto IV mods.

(PG-13: Language) Corridor’s latest video puts its protagonist smack dab in the middle of the obscenity and violence-filled world of Grand Theft Auto after he puts on a pair of schmancy VR goggles, and runs into the real Trevor. It only gets worse once the modders show up.

With all of the concerns about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 having the potential to spontaneously burst into flames, one enterprising modder decided the transform the exploding phones into a weapon for Grand Theft Auto V – in the form of a sticky bomb.

YouTuber puttefnask wanted to make a guide for taking pictures in Grand Theft Auto V. He actually succeeded, except he doesn’t have the photo to show for it. See, GTA V is so advanced, it’s even got realistic photography. Wait for it… Proof here.

Josh Romito’s massive mod for Grand Theft Auto V tweaks many aspects, but the most apparent are the graphical enhancements, which include 4K textures for many objects. It’s too saturated and shiny for us, but it still looks way better than the stock game.

The Dark Side of the Force meets the crazy side of Los Santos as Michael and Trevor duke it out Star Wars-style. Sadly this wasn’t made with a Grand Theft Auto V mod. YouTuber Boris the Blade spent a month and a half with After Effects to add the lightsabers.

YouTuber BlackSmoke Billy used a couple of mods for Grand Theft Auto V so that he could attach structures to vehicles and reduce the weight of cars in the game. He started with a mobile ramp and ended up with a freeway razor. Hilarious stuff.
