Awesome Gore

(Flashing lights) Jacob Weldon’s gruesome horror short film BUG has a slick, neon-lit style inspired by the 1980s. But there’s nothing glossy about what happens to its protagonist after she gets bitten on her arm by a pesky fly. It makes us wonder if the bug was related to Jeff Goldblum’s infamous Brundlefly.

(Gore) This darkly comedic horror film drops us into an insane world where a plant monster grows human houseplants. Filmmakers Benjamin Roberds and Katie Gregg of Dominar Films flip the script on the relationship between living organisms in this award-winning and unhinged short.

(Gore, Flashing lights) Animator Lee Hardcastle follows up his visceral DOOM claymation with another carnage-filled short, as our heroic kitty does everything he can to protect his cute little bunny pal from a horrific demise at the hands of an alien horde. But is he too late?

(Gore) Joe and Lloyd Stas’ horrific short film fully embraces the grindhouse genre, as a man visiting a countryside pub finds a mysterious letter in his coat pocket, and then all hell breaks loose when he reads its contents. This is definitely not one for the kiddies or the faint of heart.

(Gore) Jessica Curtright and Santiago C. Tapia created this tense and brutal short horror film which starts out looking like a home invasion gone wrong, but quickly reveals itself to be something even darker and more insidious.

(Gore) A hilariously over-the-top festival of blood, guts, and raw seafood from the so-bad-it’s-good horror flick Deddo Sushi, about genetically-mutated sushi set loose by a disgruntled research scientist. We’ll never look at our spicy tuna maki the same way again.
