Awesome Goofy

Since the 1950s, countless movies have recycled a sound effect known as the Wilhelm Scream. But in Disney animation, there’s a different scream that gets reused over and over – and it comes from Goofy. Mixed Signals offers a brief history lesson on The Goofy Holler, along with the origins of the iconic cartoon character and his voice. Yee-hoo-hoo-hoo-wee!

After giving us the world’s lowest car, the gang from Italy’s Carmagheddon is back with another crazy build. This time, they took a FIAT Panda and dramatically reduced its length, giving it the shortest wheelbase we’ve ever seen. Their Panda Corta does tend to dive severely when braking, but that’s part of the fun.

The scene in Joker where the Clown Prince of Crime appears on Murray Franklin’s talk show was seriously intense. Animator anima leal decided to lighten the mood by replacing Joaquin Phoenix with Goofy and Robert De Niro with Winnie the Pooh. Voices by Brock Baker.

The latest neo-retro Disney Shorts cartoon is definitely more Ren and Stimpy than classic Walt Disney, but it’s still good for a few laughs as Mickey has to play host to Goofy’s obnoxious and ill-mannered grandma.
