Awesome God Of War

To celebrate the release of God of War Ragnarök, artist Steven Richter created this impressive likeness of the game’s protagonist Kratos. He started by sculpting a clay bust, which he used to create a silicone mold. After filling the mold with resin and letting it set, he painted on all of the details and applied facial hair.

Picking up after the events of the PS4 God of War game, God of War: Ragnarök sees young Atreus on a quest to learn about his place in the universe. Joined by Kratos and Mimir, they head out across all Nine Realms on a search for answers as war breaks out around them. Coming to PS4 and PS5 in 2022.

God of War’s protagonist Kratos is one of the most iconic characters in video game history. In this video, the very talented Dr. Garuda walks through the process of sculpting a miniature of the character, first by drawing a 2D reference image, bending a metal armature, building his body from clay, then painting in all the details.

After wowing us with his Fallout Broadsider, replica maker Jairus of All is back with another impressive video game-inspired weapon. His real-world version of Kratos’s Blades of Chaos will give any God of War fan a thrill with their real metal blades and chains. Watch the build video series here.

If you’ve played God of War on the PS4, you’re probably familiar with Mimir, the disembodied head that helps guide Kratos and Atreus on their missions. Bar-El Studio created this animatronic replica of the egotistical character, complete with light-up mechanical eyes, and speech samples from the game.

Axeadelphia’s keychain bottle opener was inspired by the design of Kratos’ primary weapon in the PlayStation 4 game God of War. It’s made from antique silver-plated steel, with enamel details. Measures appx. 4″ long and makes a great pendant too. It’s too bad you can’t open a beer with Blades of Chaos without breaking the bottle.

Mondo’s sixth-scale Kratos action figure is based on the character’s appearance in the PS4 title God of War. It comes with two heads, six hands, a Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, Mimir, his shield, and more. The exclusive variant comes with fully upgraded Axe and Blades.

Man at Arms: Reforged made a replica of Kratos’ axe from the upcoming God of War game. As is often the case, the seemingly simple weapon turned out to be a complicated build. They actually had a setback at the beginning, but they improvised and got it done.

The God of War sequel we’ve all been dying for is finally headed to PS4. As Kratos grows out his beard, teaches his son how to hunt to survive, and takes on an army of horrific creatures hellbent on their destruction.

For his latest build, swordsmith Tony Swatton replicated Kratos’ iconic Blade of Chaos weapon from the God of War games. He had to shrink it a bit to make it wieldable, but it’s no less deadly. We only wish he had made a pair. On fire.

All the gold in the world can’t save King Midas from Kratos’ beat down, in this gameplay video for the upcoming PSP game God of War: Ghost of Sparta. The game comes out 11/9/2010.

If you ever wondered what it might be like if God of War’s Kratos decided to make a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich, this video is for you. It makes absolutely no sense, but still made us chuckle.
