Awesome Gibson

While we were touring the mountains in the new 2016 Camaro SS (yeah, hard life, we know), we dropped by the Bozeman, Montana factory where Gibson Acoustic has been crafting guitars for the last 30 years. Incredibly, almost every step of the process is still done by hand.

First released in 2010, the Buckethead Les Paul has an oversized body, a marker-less fingerboard and ceramic humbucking pickups with arcade style kill switches, just as the shredder wants it.

Unlike their pricey axes, Gibson’s App for the iPhone and iPod Touch is totally free; like their guitars, it’s a high quality app with tuner, metronome, 30 chord charts, and lessons.

Gibson honors Grammy & CMA winner Randy Scruggs with 100 Advanced Jumbo acoustic guitars; the round-shouldered dreadnoughts are made with Sitka spruce and solid rosewood.

Gibson’s 50th Anniversary 1960 ES-335TD revisits the most legendary semi-hollow electric guitar ever; it features a fast neck profile, dot fingerboard inlays and period-correct hardware.

Grammy award winner Keb’ Mo’ and Gibson take blues back to its acoustic roots with the Bluesmaster; limited to 300 pieces, it’s a flat-top L-series guitar with an L.R. Baggs Element pickup.

Gibson and legendary Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page team up for the Number Two Les Paul; this custom guitar recreates Jimmy’s own ’59 Standard and is limited to 325 pieces.

Limited to 1,000 units: the Dusk Tiger Guitar is Gibson’s most advanced ever with piezo and magnetic pickups, a full-color LED master control knob, and 98 tone and 99 tuning positions.

AC/DC lead guitarist Angus Young’s legendary guitar is now available in a 250 piece run, 50 signed by Angus himself; all of the reproductions sport upgrades requested by Angus.

Gibson redesigns the classic 7-String Explorer for the 21st century with a glossy ebony nitrocellulose finish, mahogany neck/body, EMG pickups, 25k linear pot and Grover Rotomatics.
