Awesome Freerunning

The normal way to get to the top of a roller coaster track is to strap in and take a ride. But freerunners Jason Paul, Krystian Kowalewski, and Silke Sollfrank prefer to use their feet. The trio headed to Germany’s Erlebnispark Tripsdrill amusement park for a thrilling run through their large wooden coaster.

Red Bull just built the world’s largest pinball machine. Then they turned freerunner Pasha ‘the Boss’ Petkuns into a human pinball, sending him sliding, swinging, and flipping his way through the 65-foot tall playfield which they set up at a 45° angle for an added challenge.

Athlete Jason Paul showed off his amazing freerunning skills on the streets of Frankfurt, Germany, then the guys from Red Bull played the whole thing in reverse, making his already impressive tricks even more magical. The backwards staircase and dump truck slides were our favorite effects.

Fortunately winter appears to finally be behind us, so we can now enjoy Jason Paul’s icy parkour video without thinking about having to scrape frost off our car windows. The clip was shot at Harbin, China, which turns into a frozen winterland once a year.

We’re pretty sure we’d be caught by airport security if we tried to pull any of the shenanigans that Red Bull freerunner Jason Paul used in this video. Regardless, we’re just glad that somebody finally replaced O.J. Simpson as the new king of running to catch a flight.

YouTuber Geeky Matt Damon Aaronsbot gets his hands on a parkour video game, but he ends up actually controlling the real Ronnie Shalvis. We’ve seen a similar concept before, but the VFX here are a nice touch.

BeyondSlowMotion’s beautiful camerawork makes freerunner Daniel Illabaca look like he’s truly weightless as he runs, jumps, hurdles and dangles his way through the streets, alleyways and bridges of Los Angeles.
