First-person drone pilot NURK FPV takes us on a fun ride-along with his pals as they take to the California desert in AXA’s powerful sand rail ATVs and kick up sand from the dunes. Play it in full-screen for maximum immersion, and catch more footage from the outing on Rotor Riot.

FPV drone pilot Nicolas Gaillard was invited to Oahu by Beautiful Destinations to capture aerial footage of some of Hawaii’s most spectacular sights. We think he did a masterful job zooming around the skies and shooting amazing imagery of the island’s natural splendor.
We’ve previously seen some of aerial photographer Viggo Koch’s work in his amazing rollercoaster fly-alongs. Now, Viggo has released a reel of some of his other breathtaking first-person drone shots from 2019, from snowy mountaintop landscapes to dusty rally races.
FPV drone pilot Mactac takes us on another epic flight, this time traversing the tops of a steep mountain range on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, as the UAV flies between the trees and craggy rocks, it comes across the glorious sight of Cobalt Lake. After a long hike up, it required patience between all the clouds that rolled in.
Remote teleoperation company Voysys shows off a how a first-person video projected onto a curved surface can immerse a viewer. Here, their tech is used to remotely control a toy car and place a driver behind its tiny steering wheel. We’d love to use it to replicate the tricycle scene from The Shining.
Drone pilot Shaggy FPV shows off just what kind of amazing photography can be produced with today’s technology as he flies perilously close to rocks and trees in a quest to capture incredible imagery of the Kjelfossen waterfall in Norway. He used ReelSteady GO software to help smooth out the final footage.
UAV flyer Mactac takes us on a beautiful and majestic ride through craggy rocks, tall trees, steep cliffs, and waterfalls in this buttery-smooth first-person flight. The nature sounds and soundtrack really help bring it all together. Original through-the-goggles recording here.
FPV drone fanatics Rotor Riot managed to score an amazing opportunity to fly – and then dive one of their drones right into the site of an old power plant as it was being imploded, thanks to the guys at Total Wrecking & Environmental. The resulting footage, while brief, is truly epic.
