In this video from The Wrench, the expert maker shows us how he created a miniature, remote-controlled tank. It’s driven by a pair of tiny motors and can be controlled using a smartphone app. The tank also packs an FPV camera, though he had some trouble getting it to work at the same time as driving.

To help shoot one of their downhill tire-rolling videos, the crew from How Ridiculous enlisted expert FPV drone pilot Seth Moore. During the setup, he pulled off an amazing feat by threading the needle through the center of a tractor tire while it was rolling along at a pretty good clip. He came very close to flying it through both tires.

Since Alaska has so little darkness on July 4th, they’ve got an alternative for fireworks. For over 20 years, Glacier View, Alaska, has hosted an event where they toss junk cars off a 300-foot cliff while onlookers enjoy the chaos and destruction. 1320video attended this year’s festivities to give us an insider’s look at the event, including POV and aerial footage.

Travis Pastrana’s Nitrocross series is packed with exciting dirt racing in a variety of vehicle classes. This FPV drone footage from the April 2024 races at Firebird Motorsports Park in Phoenix, AZ, gives us a thrilling bird’s eye view of the action as VW Beetles, side-by-sides, NEXT class, and Group E rallycross cars zoom around the track and catch air.

Henry Behal’s captivating documentary short 26,000 Days introduces us to stunt pilot Eric Tucker, who describes the things that keep him going in his thrilling and dangerous pursuits, and what it’s like to intentionally cut his engine mid-flight. Among its highlights is an incredible 95 seconds of chase footage captured by cinematographer and drone pilot Alex Vanover.

Drone pilot and photographer Joshua Turner visited Shanghai, China, where he managed to fly his Iflight quadcopter alongside the nation’s tallest skyscraper. Currently, the third-tallest building in the world, the sleek 2,073-foot-tall Shanghai Tower looks incredible through the lens of Joshua’s GoPro11 Mini camera. He also flew around a few other tall structures.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superdrone! Expert drone pilot Chris FPV did something fun and strapped a Superman action figure to the front of his high-speed quadcopter. He then captured third-person footage of the superhero’s flight using a GoPro Hero 11 action camera. Here’s another flight from the mini Man of Steel.

FPV drone pilot Tony Catapano aka Tonnoz takes us on a flight through the twisty and turny art installation known as Tiger and Turtle. Located in Duisburg, Germany, the interactive sculpture allows visitors to walk along its undulating staircase like a human rollercoaster. It’s especially awesome lit up at night.

This palm-sized remote-controlled car is designed for competition-level racing. The tiny SUV has an independent suspension, proportional steering, working lights, and an optional roof-mounted camera for a first-person perspective. It runs for up to 60 minutes per charge without the camera, and 30 minutes with it running.

We’ve seen what it’s like at the top of the Matterhorn for a wingsuit flyer. Now, head back to the peak of Hornli Ridge for an epic drone flight courtesy of pilot Joshua Turner. He captured the incredible footage of the iconic mountain summit using an Iflight Chimera 7 drone, a DJI Air Unit rig, a GoPro Hero 10 Black camera.

Mikhail Parkhomenko’s short film is more sizzle than steak, but what a sizzle it is. The loopable sequence was shot by pilot Emil Khaziev whose FPV drone descends from inside a building, chases a car, flies inside of it, then pauses to observe a scene. To pull that off a passenger had to catch the drone in motion while the pilot cut power.

The 2717-foot-tall Burj Khalifa towers over Dubai as the world’s tallest building. André Larson took his drone to the architectural wonder, then flew it down the side of the skyscraper for an incredible first-person flight towards the ground. Watch it in 4K full-screen for maximum impact, though it might make you dizzy.

Drone pilot Captain Vanover takes us on a thrilling acrobatic flight through the woods of Oregon with the Portland FPV crew. Be aware, though – the tumbles, rolls, and spins through the trees might make you dizzy. Watch in 4K if you can.

If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to shrink down and drive inside of a slot car, this video is for you. Project Air teamed up with DIY Perks to create a 200 foot-long slot car track, then rigged the cars with tiny cameras and wireless transmitter, and wore video goggles for a first-person view while driving.

Director Spencer Ford’s music video for the JAWNY track Adios is a masterpiece of drone photography. Its main subject is a muscle car being hooned about a neighborhood while its passenger sings the track in perfect time. Kudos to Jay Christensen and Grant Ridpath for the astounding aerial shots.

The Death Star trench run scene in Star Wars is one of the best action sequences ever – and it was created with practical effects. Star Wars fan Petr N replicated the scene by taking his FPV X-Wing drone for a treacherous flight through a drainage ditch. He’s also got a speeder bike.
