Awesome Forests

VERO teamed up with the U.S. Forest Service to create a series of field watches inspired by the people who help protect our nation’s forests and grasslands. The series has four color schemes: Ranger, Hotshot, Airtanker, and Service Green. Each packs a Seiko kinetic movement, Super Luminova hands, and a stainless steel case with a ceramic coating.

Visual artist Alex Le Guillou created these glorious digital sequences of trees using dots to represent their complex, organic shapes. He used LIDAR scans of the Tasmanian forest and digitally manipulated the 3D models to create this incredible footage. Created for the documentary The Giants: The Extraordinary Story of Bob Brown and the Forest.

The Jetson ONE is a single-seat flying machine that works like a giant quadrotor drone. Previously, we got a look at a test flight in an open field, now let’s go for a more scenic flight along a forest trail. It’s not as quick as the speeder bikes in Return of the Jedi, but it’s the closest you can get in real life.
