Awesome Foosball

Xander Naumenko of From Scratch loves to play foosball, but it takes up too much of his time. So, he built a robot that plays the game for him. His Foosbar machine knows how to pass, block, and kick goals faster than a human opponent can react. It uses a set of 3D tracking cameras to identify the ball’s position and move its players there before the ball arrives.

Has playing on your old foosball table gotten boring? These guys figured out how to breathe fresh life into the game by attaching a bunch of Ryobi cordless power drills to its spinners. It makes it a lot harder to follow the action, though, and there’s a much better chance of the ball flying off the table and into the neighbor’s yard.

Table football aka table soccer aka Foosball dates back to the early 20th century. MW Restoration got their hands on example from the 1920s that needed some TLC. The table was in extremely rough shape and had a gaping hole in its hardboard field. But by the time MW was done, the game looked as good as new.

To celebrate World Cup time, pastry artist Amaury Guichon created one of his most ambitious edible sculptures to date. This 100% chocolate creation is a 1:1 scale, playable replica of a foosball table, complete with handpainted players, working spinners, and even those abacus-style scorekeepers at each goal.

LEGO has revealed a brick-built tabletop foosball table. Inspired by a fan-submitted design, the 2339-piece set is fully-playable. Famed chef José Andrés and Barcelona-based designer Rafael Rodríguez teamed up to create these dual-purpose dining tables. They feature a glass tabletop which floats above a fully-playable foosball table, with a metal body and wood or metal legs. They come in three variants, the RS2, RS3 Wood, and elongated RS Max.

This fast and frantic tabletop game from Denmark shares elements with air hockey and foosball but is also its own unique thing. Foosball is usually played by 2 to 4 players. But with this ginormous custom table, up to 10 people can play at once. This truly unique game table is built by Coeur d’Alene, Idaho’s Howards Woodshop. It has a metal base, a wood playing field, and comes with a pair of scoreboards. The centerfield logo can be customized.

Interactive system maker Realtime Department shows off a modern version of the classic foosball game where you never have to worry about losing the ball again. It features a 4K display and spinner style rod controls, and its virtual stadium and player uniforms can be customized.

One of the nicest looking foosball tables we’ve laid eyes on, EastPoint Sports‘ competition-sized table features a sturdy wood construction with a crossbar base, precision weighted and balanced players, and high performance rod bushings for quick and smooth spinning.

Designed by Rafael Rodriguez, Wall Champions are coat hangers that feature foosball figures. You can pick just one or a whole row of hangers. The figures are available in different jersey designs, skin colors and genders.

Foosball tables that are made entirely out of cardboard. The delivery box itself is part of the table, which requires no screws or glue to assemble. It also a passive amplifier for phones and cupholders so you don’t spill your beer.

While you could buy a desktop foosball table for less, you won’t look nearly as cool as when you play foosball with your iPad. Features realistic spinner controls and manual scorekeeping tallies.

We’ve seen some good-looking foosball tables over the years, but this might just be our favorite, with its minimal electropolished steel finish and rugged, adjustable wooden legs.
