Free: Gravitee 2
Gravitee 2 is essentially a 31st century version of not-so-miniature golf: you’ll not only contend with holes, hoops and balls, but navigate your way around planetary gravity wells.

Similar to EZR, Daytraders of the Dead ups the ante with more satisfying powerups, enemies worth killing (undead bankers) and all the Federal bailout money you could ever want.
The premise of Splitter 2 is simple: drag your mouse through wood objects to allow a perpetually happy smiley face to roll to its destination, or just hack things to bits if you get stuck.
Short but sweet, Music Catch is a free consumption-style game (think flOw) with a catch: it’s set to an utterly mesmerizing piano song which is cued to match the pace of the game.
They definitely don’t teach these moves at boot camp: Fragger is a free Flash game where your object is to lob grenades at dim-witted grunts; hint: brush up on your projectile motion.
Despite being set to a relatively chill jazzy piano soundtrack, The Great Red Herring Chase is anything but relaxed; it’s a car chase done entirely via typing with a classy film noir feel.
Upgrade Complete is a space shooter with a cool premise: a purposely unfinished game, you’ll use your points to purchase everything from menu buttons to music. Thanks, Garth!
Conway’s Game of Life is older than we’ve been alive, but gets a fresh dusting of spores with Mushroom Life; the different mushroom stages of life make this just as addictive.
Vector Effect is a retro-style shooter not unlike other games we’ve featured, save for one factor: it’s actually kind of hard, with slow health regeneration and hordes of enemies.
ToneMatrix is a sinewave synthesizer with a series of triggered steps; confused? Just press the buttons and you’ll get what it is: a highly addictive music/noise app. Thanks, Mike!
1066 looks simple, but we easily burned an hour playing it; it’s a turn-based strategy game which recreates medieval battles in England with battle charges, arrows and taunts.
Kind of like Pachinko in space (think pinball), Star Beacons tasks you with firing a series of balls down a gauntlet of obstacles; the teleport in the bottom “recycles” the ball.
Get 7 of your friends or randomly join a game for instant MarioKart-style racing with HoverKart, which includes 20 tracks; note: if you FAIL at driving like we do, try out the tutorial first.
Little Wheel may be a linear game, but it’s fantastically done: it’s a robot story with a steampun graphics and a jazzy soundtrack; we only wish it were longer. Full walkthrough above.
Vector Boom is a 2D space shooter with a twist: aside from upgrades, your primary weapon is essentially an expanding blast radius, limited by the amount of time you take to charge it.
Learn to Fly is tamer than Shopping Cart Hero, but still pretty fun; you’ll get to upgrade air resistance, acceleration and ramp height, and purchase three models of gliders and rockets.
Heavy Weapons may look simple but is actually a thinker’s shoot ’em up, with different enemies requiring different weapons; slick graphics and gameplay makes this highly addictive.
Pirate Defense is yet another tower defense game (and not much of a looker), but gets interesting once you use traps; it takes some getting used to, but is worth the Yarrs and Arghhs.
Alright, so nobody really loves traffic, but I Love Traffic gives us a peek into the harried lives of traffic lights; it starts off easy but quickly turns frenetic, making accidents a near inevitability.
Chroma Circuit is a color matching game that starts off simply enough by requiring you to rotate adjacent pieces; our ape brains are still stumped by the energy transfers. Thanks, Josh!
Ridiculously addictive, your goal in Crush the Castle is to use a trebuchet and increasingly destructive weapons to knock down castles and crush their hapless inhabitants.
With a looping spaghetti Western music track, we half expect Clint Eastwood to make an appearance in Bang! Heroes; it’s a well-designed steampunk meets Wild West platform shooter.
Space Quest, Police Quest and Leisure Suit Larry fans will love Sarient.Net: it not only hosts playable flash versions of the classic Sierra games, but makes them somewhat multiplayer.
