Awesome Fargo

Jon Hamm, Juno Temple, Joe Keery, and Jennifer Jason Leigh head up the cast of Fargo’s latest installment. It takes place in 2019 in North Dakota and Minnesota and follows the tale of a seemingly mild-mannered housewife who’s been keeping a big secret about her past. We’re getting some seriously dark Home Alone vibes from this trailer. Drops 11.21.23 on FX.

After a lengthy hiatus, Fargo is back, and it looks as good as ever. This time, we’re dropped into Kansas City, circa 1950, where two crime syndicates attempt to maintain peace, not only in their turf war, but across racial lines. The cast includes Chris Rock, Jason Schwartzman, Jack Huston, Uzo Aduba, Timothy Olyphant, and more.

Candice Drouet breaks down the quintessential Coen brothers film. Fargo builds on a simple trick to mess with our expectations and drive its point home: that we get by partly by blocking out the horrible things that happen around us.

This season, go way back to 1979 to witness the dark and twisted goings-on in the world of a young Officer Lou Solverson. Patrick Wilson, Kirsten Dunst, Jean Smart, Jesse Plemons, Brad Garrett, Nick Offerman, and Ted Danson star.

It’s just a brief tease, but the second season of Fargo appears to yet again capture the spirit of the Coen Brothers’ warped universe. As one commenter put it: “Are we going to watch this? Oh yeah. You betcha.” Drops 9/2015 on FX.
