Awesome Ebay

The fine folks from eBay Motors flew us to Summit County, Colorado to experience some of the many awesome upgrades they have available for overlanding. We conquered off-road trails in a Toyota Tacoma, a Lexus GX 470, a Porsche Taycan, and a vintage Jeep Cherokee, each outfitted with equipment to make the most of our driving adventures.

Squirrel Monkey’s retro tech series “Wonders of the World Wide Web” ponders what it might have been like if eBay shipped on a stack of floppy diskettes, and ran on a late 1980s PC. It includes the most hilariously skeuomorphic user experience since Microsoft BOB.

Colin Furze continues what he started. After last year’s life-size AT-ACT, the mad inventor once again scoured eBay for parts to build a life-size model of a Star Wars vehicle. This time it’s Kylo Ren’s ride, the TIE Silencer. The model is on display at Burghley House until 12/10/17.

eBay UK commissioned Colin Furze to make a huge model of the AT-ACT, an Imperial troop transport vehicle from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Its head and guns move, and its guts are packed with tons of Star Wars merch from eBay sellers. Build video here.
