Awesome E.t.

Collectible toy maker NECA is set to release a series of five delightfully detailed figures inspired by E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. Each comes with props from a memorable moment in the Spielberg classic. The Deluxe Ultimate E.T. figure has a light-up chest, while the Elliot and E.T. one includes a bicycle and a moon backdrop.

40 years after the release of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, you can have the same bike that Elliott rode into the sky with his alien pal. This special edition Kuwahara bicycle looks like the one from the Spielberg classic, upgraded with a 4130 Chromoly frame and sealed bearing hubs. The bike drops in the fall of 2022 for $800.

As the number of new movies in theaters is temporarily low, Screen Junkies continues to turn to the past for inspiration, this time setting fire to the 1982 Spielberg classic “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” with a roast that smells like melting Reese’s Pieces. Though the knock-off “Mac and Me” actually got the brunt of the criticism.

For Christmas 2019, Xfinity released a heartwarming commercial that featured the return of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. It turns out that VFX artists had to build a whole new puppet, based on the original from 37 years earlier. Legacy Effects takes us behind the work that went into bringing the beloved character back to life.

It may be a thinly-veiled commercial for Xfinity’s cable and internet services, but with a grown-up Elliott reuniting with E.T. more than 30 years after they first met, this holiday promo will still tug at your heartstrings. Still, it made us wonder if E.T.’s telecommunication provider has data caps too.

“We’re taking you to a spaceship… we’re taking you home.” Fans of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial will love Melodysheep’s latest remix, a sweet and upbeat little ditty made using soundbytes from the 1982 Steven Spielberg classic.

Zen Studios’ excellent digital pinball series gets a major upgrade, adding online multiplayer and user-generated tournaments, and kicks off with three new tables based on Universal films: Jaws, Back to the Future, and E.T. Coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One 9/26/17.
