Perhaps inspired by this guy, drummer Brian Tichy – who has played for Whitesnake, Billy Idol, Foreigner, and Ozzy Ozbourne turns in a performance of the Rush classic Limelight using only his fists, forearms and a speed bag.
Unlike other drum triggers, Sunhouse’s Sensory Percussion recognizes different parts of the drum as well as drum strokes. It lets you map effects and blend them seamlessly on one drum, use your kit to modulate effects and more.
Musician Pensen Paletti demonstrates a nifty trick – his ability to play both his acoustic guitar and a small electronic drum controller at once, resulting in a complete one-man rhythm section. Hear another guit-drum tune here.
New York performer Ricky Syers uses “Chopsy,” his drummer puppet and tiny tin can drums he created to play the percussion section of the 1981 Rush classic Tom Sawyer. We’re betting the guitar part would be a bit more difficult to pull off.
Three-year-old Lyonya Shilovskya was invited to join the stage with a symphony orchestra in Russia to perform a section of Offenbach’s classic Orpheus in the Underworld. We’re still convinced he’s an adult in a little kid costume.

See that cute girl? While the vocalist in this performance of My Way isn’t too bad on the eyes, she’s quickly upstaged by the drummer and his stick-spinning antics. And his hair. (Thanks Dan!)
We’re not only impressed with six-year-old Jaxon Smith’s self-taught drumming abilities, but his taste in music is impeccable, as he jams along with Foo Fighters’ Pretender.
We don’t blame these guys for initially being afraid when a cop pulled up to their campsite. Luckily the only things he was interested in busting were jams. Canada wins again. Minus that guy at 1:07.
We all know that Def Leppard’s Rick Allen plays drums with a single arm, but he’s got nothing on Cornel Munn, who has overcome adversity to play the drums without any hands at all.
While anyone can play tiny drums with a mobile app these days, there’s something that just seems inherently more impressive about a person who can play tiny physical drums with mini drumsticks.
