DARPA’s EXACTO (Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordnance) 50-caliber sniper rounds are so smart that they can compensate for weather, wind, target movement, and even bad aim to ensure a hit no matter what. Scary, but amazing stuff.

DARPA demonstrates technology which can extinguish flames using a pair of speakers and sound. As the acoustic field increases air velocity, the flame boundary thins and disrupts the fire.
