Mark Rober has been frustrating porch pirates and other thieves with his trick glitter bombs for a while now. To wrap up the series, he teamed up with a local news outlet in San Francisco to set up a bait car and backpack, covering thieves with glitter and fart spray and tracking the stolen goods to help identify the criminals behind the break-ins.

This challenging party game asks players to steal items from a museum guarded by laser beams. Only the laser beams are elastic strings, and the hands you’ll use to grab things are tiny. Tiny Laser Heist also incorporates strategic card game elements as players draw cards to recruit their team and plan the biggest heist possible.

After hearing a tragic story about the deadly use of a stun gun, I did a thing thought he could prevent such tragedies by building a new kind of crime-stopping device. So he designed and fabricated a set of jaws that police could use to grab onto slow-moving subjects while keeping them at a distance. Of course, it won’t work if the scofflaw has a gun.

After embarrassing numerous porch pirates, engineer Mark Rober is back with the final and most ambitious iteration of his electromechanical glitter bomb. Version 5.0 is packed with autonomous glitter drones and even more fart spray to ruin any criminal’s day. He also built a stripped-down version for car break-ins.

Giancarlo Esposito heads up the cast of this Netflix series about a master thief who assembles a crew to pull off a $7 billion heist. With its story unfolding over 25 years, the episodes stream in random order other than the finale. Each resulting sequence offers differing perspectives on the story. Drops 1.1.2023.

As far as we know, Dirty John is the first TV drama to be based on a podcast. The Bravo limited series takes on the dark and gritty true crime story of a woman who falls in love with a handsome and successful doctor, but who ends up being anything but the man of her dreams.

A vandal attempted to break into an employee’s pickup truck parked outside of Seattle’s KIRO Radio, and learned quickly why Toyota trucks are said to be indestructible. The station then decided to add some commentary to the bumbling criminal’s futile efforts.

Brazilian comedy show Los Primitivos turned the tables on would be bike thieves by attaching a thin cable to them that made them faceplant shortly after they took off with what they thought was an unlocked bike, making fools out of these opportunistic criminals.

Two armed men attacked a mini-mart in Manchester, UK, but this clerk wasn’t going to let them get away with it, and countered with his own makeshift weapons – a shoe and a jar. He suffered minor injuries, but scared them off.

Tim Lake’s security camera caught a woman stealing his Amazon package. When the local news channel got wind of his story, Tim made the most of his situation. He made himself look good while making fun of the thief on TV.

This comedy series centered on two small-time criminals who don’t commit misdeeds serious enough to get nabbed – while unknowingly using a camera rigged sting car – looks pretty promising. Let’s hope we get to see more.

This little toddler is starting off on his life of crime early, as he uses a pair of nail clippers to crack into his big sister’s bedroom and swipe her toys at night. Even better yet, his proud parents posted the video on YouTube.
