Volvo heads in a bold new direction with this sporty 2-seater. Has a plug-in hybrid powertrain with appx. 400hp, and an interior packed with luxe finishes including hand-carved wood inlays and a leather instrument panel. Video here.

Jon Patterson’s Pogo concept is a 3.5mm headphone plug with two parts. The parts are connected by magnets and Pogo pins. Like Apple’s MagSafe, Pogo is secure yet detaches safely to prevent damage to headphone cables.

A roadster variant of the curvaceous Spyker B6 Venator, powered by the same 375hp V6 mid-engine RWD drivetrain, and outfitted with ample amounts of extravagant leather trim and aircraft-inspired controls.

The 2014 BMW M4 Concept Coupé has carbon fiber-reinforced plastic parts, including the roof, front splitter and rear diffuser. Its huge air intakes cool its yet to be specified engine. Official reveal video here.

Cadillac is on a roll with their concept cars. The Elmiraj is their latest take on the grand coupe. It has a 500hp 4.5L turbocharged V8, 22″ wheels, a titanium, leather and wood interior and a stunning profile. More on Autoblog.

Everything but the Manual is David Graas’ concept for a DIY furniture kit. It consists of 177 identical oak blocks that can be affixed to each other using ordinary bolts and wing nuts. It’s LEGO furniture. Video here.

A two-seater car with a 550hp V10 Lamborghini engine. The Parcour is designed to be equally at home on gravel, snow and race tracks. Its exhaust system is above the gearbox to prevent them from being damaged when off-roading.

An offshoot of BMW’s Active Tourer concept compact car. It’s a hybrid that has a 1.5L engine and an electric motor for a total output of 190hp. It has a built-in carrier rack for two bicycles, rugged interior and a glass roof.

Invented by Steve Hollinger, the Squito is a ball-shaped throwable camera. It takes 360º panoramic videos or pictures and has built-in image stitching and stabilization. The Darkball variant uses infrared and thermal imaging.

A one-seater helicopter designed for zipping over rush hour traffic. We’re not certain about the airworthiness of Héctor del Amo’s chopper design, but we’re all over the concept, and hope to see something like it produced at some point.

An unusual vehicle made from sustainable materials, designers Kenneth Cobonpue and Albrecht Birkner’s car would have a woven skin, replaceable after it biodegrades. Not the most practical concept, but still visually striking.

Industrial designer Joey Ruiter conceived this fat-wheeled urban bike with a special holder built in for carrying around a 1/2 gallon growler filled with his favorite beer instead of a water bottle. Hydration is overrated anyhow.

Google Glass doesn’t have a lot of interactive features yet, but it may already have a killer app. Its voice search is so good it’s terrifying. It’s basically outsourced thinking. Memorization may soon be obsolete.

Gulfstream? Pfff. The billionaires of the future will take to the skies in a Saker S-1. This concept for a two-seater plane is designed after fighter jets, with a maximum speed of Mach 0.99. That’s 754mph. More at Gizmag.

The Gran Lusso Coupé concept is a glimpse at the future of BMW. It has a V12 engine, 21″ wheels, wood and leather interior and a meticulously sculpted body that manages to look sleek even though it’s arrestingly immense.

The creator of the GIFTY concept camera says it would allow you to shoot and print real life GIFs but it actually seems more like a fun way of making photo flipbooks in a GIFFY. We totally understand if you don’t appreciate that pun.

Aston Martin celebrates its centenary with the CC100 Speedster, a concept car that marries its past and present. It has a handmade carbon fiber body with split cockpit design and a V12 engine. View the full gallery here.

Designed by Alexsander Suhih and Maxim Mezentsev, the E-inkey is similar to the Optimus Popularis in that the appearance of each key can be modified. But the E-inkey uses E-ink, so it’s lighter and consumes less electricity.

The guys at TechRadar envision a world in which Microsoft and Sony put aside their differences to collaborate on the ultimate gaming console. One which not only plays next-gen games, but games from past-gen systems.

Similar to the Tick Clip, Why The Friday’s Instant Table are tall clamps that can be attached to any suitable material to make a table or perhaps a bed. The resulting furniture can easily be disassembled.

Playground Inc. presents its ideas for Google Glass apps. The company says that all of these can be made today, but they can’t be implemented with the current battery technology and the API for Glass. More here.
