(PG-13) The red band trailer for Good Boys, a movie about the misadventures of three 12-year-old friends. It begins with one of them not knowing how to kiss, and ends up with adult toys, cops ,and more. They sound like little Jonah Hills. Premieres 8/2019.

(PG-13: Language) Penny was an astronaut from the ’60s who was sent through a wormhole. She ended up 1000 years into the future, and found nothing but a wizard who’s addicted to cola. Joe & Lloyd Stas’ comedy short film is definitely driven by its characters.

After a night on the town, a man with a few too many drinks in him stops in a public toilet to relieve himself. But when he’s not exactly tidy, the restroom reminds him to clean up his act. Director Simeon Duncombe’s darkly-comic short film is well worth a watch.

(PG_13: Language, Gore) The red band trailer for the Hellboy reboot wows with glimpses of its fantastic monsters and other visual effects, while still leaning on the movie’s comedic side. We hope the rest of it has better jokes. The film premieres 4/12/19.

(PG-13: Language) Two New Yorkers trying to break into Hollywood finally lose it, and everything goes to hell. Writer and director Gil Freston tries to make a name for himself by making fun of the very industry and city that he needs in this meta-comedy short film.

Travis Fimmel and Forest Whitaker star in a comedy heist film set in the early 1970s. It’s a fictionalized account of the United California Bank burglary, in which a group of thieves stole millions of dollars from Richard Nixon’s illegal campaign fund. Premieres 3/15/19.

In Terry Gilliam’s long awaited adaptation of Don Quixote, Adam Driver stars as an advertising executive who made a film about the Spanish character. He finds out years later that the lead actor (Jonathan Pryce) has gone insane and thinks he’s actually Don Quixote.

A group of US airmen try to stay sane during World War II. Catch-22 is a six-episode miniseries on Hulu based on the classic dark comedy novel. It’s co-directed by George Clooney and stars Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Christopher Abbott, and Kyle Chandler.

(PG-13) The late comedian Richard Pryor is equally famous and infamous. Paramount Network’s upcoming documentary I Am Richard Pryor shares the standup legend’s brutal childhood, struggles with addiction and powerful legacy. Airs 3/15/19.

(PG-13: Language) “I’m an equal opportunity ass whooper.” Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as detective John Shaft, nephew of the OG Shaft. This time, he has to make up for lost time with his nerdy and not-quite-badass son. Premieres 6/14/19.

“It makes it sound a bit Russian.” In his segment at the We Are Most Amused and Amazed 2018, comedian and musician Bill Bailey focused on the difference between the major and minor keys, and gamely provided transposed examples to prove his point.

From executive producers Jordan Peele and Charlie Sanders (Key & Peele writer) comes Weird City, a YouTube Premium comedy anthology film. It’s set in the future inside the titular city, where the haves and have nots are segregated.

Regardless of our upbringing, there are certain things that all humans find to be beautiful. At least that’s what Tristan Newcomb of Never Got Famous thinks, as he offers up his hilarious take on the things that bring us together. He also has a thing or two to say about tortilla chips.

A delivery man and his two helpers arrive at an old man’s house to deliver a spa. When they get there, the old man refuses to take the tub. The three buddies find out the reason behind the old man’s behavior and have a decision to make.

(PG-13: Language) Stand-up comedian Phil Wang is what he calls “half-Chinese, half-normal.” His father has a hilarious – and now possibly punishable by law – version of How I Met Your Mother. Old Papa Wang don’t play.

(SPOILERS, Gore) Tree Gelbman survived a time loop where she was stuck in the same day until she identified who killed her. Now the curse is back, except this time it’s affecting her friends as well. The sequel to the funny slasher flick Happy Death Day drops 2/14/19.

Liam Neeson’s characters keep changing into brutal assassins. This time, it doesn’t even look like he has a military or secret agent background. He’s a snowplow driver who goes on a killing spree after his son is murdered. The action comedy film premieres 2/8/19.

(PG-13: Language) Executive Producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg present a dark comedy series starring Don Cheadle. Black Monday tells the origin of the eponymous stock market crash of 1987. Premieres 1/20/19 on Showtime.

Writer/director Jim Cummings’ feature-length adaptation of his award-winning short film. Thunder Road is a dark comedy about a police officer who struggles to cope with everyday life after his mother’s death and losing custody of his daughter. Drops 10/30/18 on iTunes.

(PG-13: Language) “This next one is, umm, it’s another duet.” We’re not crying, and it’s not rain on our face either. It’s just that Flight of the Conchords are back. Their new HBO special has both classics and new tunes, performed live in London. Premieres 10/6/18.

Stan & Ollie is a biographical drama about the legendary comedy duo Laurel and Hardy. The film follows the two in the 1950’s. As they embark on a tour, health and politics threaten their careers and friendship. Starring Oliver Coogan and John C. Reilly.
