We’re not certain if the CGI from this retelling of the classic man and ape story lands it firmly in the uncanny valley or if it looks like a video game. Still, we’re happier with animation than live-action.

Daniel Franke and Cedric Kiefer created this digital sculpture by capturing the movements and sounds of a dancer using three Kinects, then rendering them into abstract volumetric 3D forms.
