We’ve seen what Super Mario Bros. could look like in first person. Now step into the red shoes of Sonic with Machinima’s first person – first hedgehog? -run through the Green Hill Zone. It’s not as dizzying as we thought it would be.

Rich Lee created this commercial on spec for Monster Energy drinks. The CGI-enhanced spot looks like something you’d see during the Super Bowl, with its sexy protagonist, blockbuster effects, and edgy sense of humor.

If it wasn’t strange enough to see Bruce Lee reincarnated via CGI, it’s even more odd that his uncanny doppelgänger is appearing in a promo for Johnnie Walker Blue – since clean-living Bruce never drank. Still, it’s worth watching.

While it’s surely done with CGI animation, we’re still impressed by Aatma Studio’s epic domino display that looks like it was made with 10,000 iPhone 5s. Though it would have been even cooler with $2+ million worth of actual iPhones.
