We’re pretty tired of CGI creatures, and would rather go with old school practical effects. But we’ll make an exception for Aaron’s Animals, who used VFX to produce a rather unexpected pack of animals to pull his wagon down the road.
Today’s moment of zen is brought to you by Vine contributor Jonisht and his crazy cat Sadie, who not only likes to hang out in the shower while its running, but has decided that it was put there to be her personal water fountain.
As we’ve already learned, cats can be real jerks. Here, a bunch of felines show their doting owners just what they think of having their birthdays celebrated. Then again, throwing a birthday party for your cat is kind of dumb.
Like the spectating pug video, there’s not a whole lot to this video of two cats jumping in sync. However, there’s something about the slow-mo, combined with the trippy music that make the whole much greater than the sum of its parts.
This a-hole siamese cat refuses to let his human servant use the mouse on his computer, batting his hand away every time he reaches for the pointing device. Clearly, this guy needs to start using a trackpad.
While we always thought they were called Scottish Folds because of their folded ears, after watching this video, we’re convinced that it’s because these cats can fold themselves up into improbably small spaces.
A cat is sick of being harassed by a couple of yippy dogs and does what any good feline would do – he takes revenge – pushing one of the annoying dogs into the swimming pool when he’s had enough. Though his claws almost prove to be his undoing.
A compilation of cats who want nothing more than to come back in the house so they can make further demands of their human servants just as soon as they get inside. Our cat likes to do this INSIDE the bedroom at 4am.
It’s been a while since we checked in Maru, the box-obsessed feline from Japan. Turns out this cat doesn’t discriminate, and he also likes to try and cram himself into paper bags that are too small for him as well.
While dogs usually make a mess because they don’t know any better, cats seem to have a much more malicious intent. The Dodo compiled this short clip of kitties intentionally knocking stuff onto the floor.
In one of the most unlikely pairings ever, a grizzly bear and an orange tabby cat lived together in perfect harmony at Oregon’s Wildlife Images Animal Sanctuary. They both shared a common bond of having been orphaned.
Cats can be diabolical critters. Take for instance, this fluffy looking furball, who seems hellbent on tormenting its owner by knocking her stuff onto the floor. Perhaps its angered that its owner doesn’t know how to hold a camera phone.
We know all about digging out from the snow here in Chicago, but we usually turn to our shovels and snowblowers to clear the way. Not James Gilfoy. He makes his cat Rudiger earn his Friskies. Cat, the snow goes OUTSIDE the house.
Cats would sleep all day if they could – only getting up in the middle of the night to meow and make biscuits on your face. Towards this end, one cat has perfected a technique that lets it stay in bed while drinking. Now, to work on pooping.
A cat somehow gets its head stuck in a plastic cup and can’t seem to extract itself. Thankfully, a big Newfoundland dog is on the case. Of course the guy with the camera could have stepped in, but then we’d have no stupid cat video to share.
The always entertaining Ze Frank teamed up with Friskies to create this charming commercial which puts us inside the mind of a cat as it tries to figure out what the heck humans are doing when Super Bowl Sunday comes around.
While some kitties like playing video games, this fraidy cat isn’t a fan of the sounds from Super Mario Bros. – especially the jumping sound. Despite this, he’d actually be pretty good at smashing goombas.
We’re not sure what’s going on with this kitty, but she seems to have a bit of a problem climbing up onto the bed. Of course if your cat is one of those who likes to claw your eyeballs out while you’re sleeping, this isn’t the worst thing.
In this silly short film, Final Cut King reimagines the adventures of Indiana Jones (er, Indiana Bones) with his puppy playing our heroic archaologist and kittens playing the evil Nazis. The boulder made from duct tape is priceless.
We know that Maru the cat has a penchant for small boxes. Here the plump cat is determined to cram his butt into yet another container that is way too tiny. Perhaps he’s just used to the tiny apartments in Japan.
Cats are persnickety creatures, so sometimes they wig out when they hear strange noises. In the case of this one feline, it has the weirdest possible reaction when its owner unrolls packing tape. Apparently this also works with measuring tapes.
Upright Citizens Brigade performer Vincent Moore attempts to take his cat to the vet, when he runs into some unexpected trouble along the way. At least we didn’t get a POV shot of his pet coughing up the requisite hairball.
We here at The Awesomer have the privilege of being able to work from home. But there is one downside you don’t get in a cubicle farm – pets. And if you thought cats were annoying, try having a conference call while the dogs are barking.
